Well conducted review, and yet the haters rage in the dislike bar...

Remember the days when games were not outright hated because of a single number and the petty rumors that circulated about them?

To be fair, the dislike bar is not about the game itself, but about the review. Like you and Curl already agreed, there is hate/hype for the game on that like/dislike, but that's not all.

For example, very early the reviewer disregards criticism about the lack of MP or having too much cinematic, just because the game wasn't advertised with those features in the first place. While it is great that SONY or RAD didn't lied about the game during marketing, what would let vulnerable to sue, people can still complain about what is and isn't in game.

Overall the reviewer sounded really defensive to me, stating more than once that the negatives reviews about the game are flawed and wasting the first 5 minutes doing damage control, instead of actually reviewing it. From my point of view, that review deserves to be disliked even if the game was good.

Well FW numbers on global aren't up yet. A new IP exclusive topping charts with such reviews is surprising.

Not in these months and especially not with a game talked about so much. It had public attention, even if not the best. Especially considering that reviews came late so pre-orders are most likely only affected in a small way. Next weeks will tell if critics are really surprised (and I guess they won't).

"talked about so much" Even through all that public attention it kept getting, half of the time reviewers who had their hands-on the game went being subjective way more than it was expected. There were only few articles praising it's MSAA adoption. First bashing it up for using the black bars and then for so much QTEs/cutscenes. I for one didn't find any of those undermining my gameplay progress/experience one bit and there would be many others as well who would approve of. The intent of the game via directors was to be like a cinematic interactive like previous gen games such as Heavy Rain and Beyond Two souls. Even it had to cater to niche community, the bottomline is that the critics have not treated this game fairly.

Well, I obviously can't know for sure, but I made a comfortable guess that many of those dislikers didn't watch the whole 17 minutes, or even much of the video at all.

So, he begins by addressing the meta-reviews, and the overall hostility The Order receives. Frankly, I don't blame him for that. It's relevant to the subject and he counters the negativity well, though I have to criticize him for letting it drag on by quoting so many people...

Secondly, you can't really judge a game based off of what it clearly wasn't intended to be, and the devs' vision simply never included multiplayer. That's that. Now, on the subject of cinematics and their quantity within The Order, well the reviewer actually made it one of his cons. He took a point off "length" for excess cinematics, and a point off "overall appeal" for lack of complete value (or the price not being justified for what you get).

Lastly, I normally don't like people saying "reviews are wrong" because it's like saying other people's opinions are incorrect and that's illogical. However, this guy points out a few that indeed fail at stating fact, as in, they say something along the lines of "The Order isn't what they said it would be", and the reviewer proves those untrue. With that, let me say that I haven't played The Order yet and thus I currently don't have an opinion of it.

The Order is also number 1 in Germany:

I can't wait to see the congrats and well deserved hoorays when other platform games get into the top charts (as if there's going to be any).

That reviewer also sounded really defensive imo, he spent a good chunk at the start insulting others, something which as a reviewer you really shouldn't do, it does not get your point across and makes you seem more of a fanboy, the entire dislikes on his video were not all from haters and I can see why it was disliked from the way he presented himself and not actually fully reviewing the game and just starting with "the haters" from the beinning.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

I cant wait to pick it up.
