Well I'm sure of that, but do you deny that there are many who judge the game based primarily on my mentioned criteria? (At the very least, people on YouTube)

I think the most common rational complaints are story (for just being unappealing in general), cutscenes (ratio of them compared to actual playtime), and gameplay (being simple and uninspired).

People make snap judgements, yes. But that goes both ways; a lot of positive opinions are based on similarly kneejerk reactions.

So people getting hyped because of trailers, screen captures, and dev interviews compared to people who look at the metascore and have heard the rumors that the game is only 3-5 hours long? :) I see the point you're making but we're comparing two sides that have not played the game yet.

Good to see it performing well, despite what the critics said.

This is what I was already expecting and will continue to surprise critics.

That's pretty much what I'm saying, yes. The hate bandwagon is just the other side of the coin from the hype bandwagon.

I don't bother with game reviews anyway, after all I just bought Xenoverse :^)

I don't think critics are surprised by FW sales in any way.

Well FW numbers on global aren't up yet. A new IP exclusive topping charts with such reviews is surprising.

Those mentioning returning it in a week........... i'm not surprised people are doing so.

over 50% of people have already platinumed it over on TT http://www.truetrophies.com/The-Order-1886/trophies.htm

honest question here........ are the ANY ps4 exclusives that actually have ANY longevity?

Same with ps3, thats why i packed it up and aint played it for like 8 months.

That's great but keep in mind that in Australia you can return your game within 1 week and get a full refund, even if you've already played it.

That's a thing in Austrailia? Damn I wish they did that in Canada.

Yeps, consumer laws are pretty great here.

Not in these months and especially not with a game talked about so much. It had public attention, even if not the best. Especially considering that reviews came late so pre-orders are most likely only affected in a small way. Next weeks will tell if critics are really surprised (and I guess they won't).
