The thread title was true for last gen, not this gen.

Neh. My biggest issue with owning all 3 consoles is the yearly fee that I would have to pay for them in addition to the initial price. Like on the ps4/x1, in order to play games online, I have to pay $60 a year in a course of 5 years which is about $300 (sales/discounts not included) and then if you want to count two consoles, thats about $500 (since gold is now $40/year I believe) on top of the $750 I already pay for the consoles if I bought them. And if I don't pay, that means that with any games I purchase that has online multiplayer, I am not getting the full game then since the features are locked away

So, since that is the case, I am happy to stick with my wiiU and my PC for the time being. And in the future, if FFXV as well as some other jrpgs still remain console exclusive, I might get a ps4 when its cheap but other than that, I don't mind missing out games cause honestly, I can't even finish my current games let alone games on all platforms and even if I could, I would rather spend it on something else like lube

What I hate more than anything is an expensive device collecting dust and I feel like that if I bought all 3, at minimum, it will happen to at least one (wink wink)

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

The price is not the problem. The time to play three consoles is what I don't have. Have both PS4 and WiiU and already have hard to play both so WiiU doesn't get used much. Having three consoles would be overwhelming.

I believe a PC and Nintendo combo pretty much covers everything I need. I don't need Sony and Microsoft consoles in my life.  The only games I cared about from Microsoft and Sony would be Twisted Metal and Crimson Skies.  Twisted Metal kind of fell off a cliff and Microsoft never gave Crimson Skies another chance.   Besides that the only game I miss that I don't believe is on PC would be Armored Core.  I enjoyed that series about a decade ago.

Money ceased to be an issue since I left my teenage years behind. However, even with just 2 consoles (ps3 and ps4), the clutter around my TV with my laptop, consoles and multiple external HDDs is crazy already. PS4 lacking BC irks me to this day because even switching between them for different games is a pain. I can't imagine switching between 3 new consoles with different control styles plus old ones. It'd literally take the fun out of the game.

I tried being a multiconsole owner in the ps2 gen. After the fun of Ninja Gaiden waned, my xbox just collected dust and that was the gen when PS and xbox were still somewhat differentiated from each other. Nowadays, it's really hard to justify owning both.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

It always is. Their is always at least one gem worthy of a console purchase.

Unfortunately, I can't. I don't have the time for all those consoles. I've been playing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen on my PS3 for months now and barely have time for my PS4. I slot in some Vita time here and there as well.
