Forums - Sony Discussion - Which is a better buy?PS Vita or PS3?

Get a PS3, and then get a PS Vita TV down the road. Half the price, and you can play any Vita game on your TV with the DS3 you got, or even a DS4.

Some you can't like Uncharted and Gravity Rush.

I'd take the PS3.

Ps3 by a mile. Much bigger and better library, better online, better graphics and it's a blu ray player too!

If you already own an X360 (or a gaming PC), Vita will give you more added value. If not - PS3 is hands down the best console to date.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

If you want the most variety, I`d say the PS3. The Vita has its line of games, but the PS3 has so much covered. Sorry Vita users...

As an RPG fan the only game you're missing out on by not getting a Vita is Persona 4, and you could actually get it on the PS3 as a PS2 classic and play it in its original PS2 form which isn't that different from the Vita title anyways. Persona 3 FES, SMT Nocturne, and Digital Devil Saga are also PS2 classics.

Dragon's Crown is on both the PS3 and Vita and mix of Diablo and a beat em up. Imo it's Vanillaware's best game by far. Similar to Odin Sphere which is also probably on the PS2 classics section as well.

Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, 3D Dot Game Heroes, Darksiders, DMC HD Collection, DmC Devil May Cry, Lords of Shadow series, Dante's Inferno, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1 and 2, Yakuza 3 and 4, GTA4, GTA5, Saints Row The Third, The Saboteur, Sleeping Dogs, Red Dead Redemption, Infamous 1 and 2. LittleBigPlanet 2, Uncharted series, Army of Two series, Binary Domain, Vanquish, the Dead Space series. Mirror's Edge, Dragon Age Origins, Heavy Rain, Tales of Graces F, Fight Night Champion, Sega Genesis Collection, Vankyria Chronicles, Batman Arkham series, etc. That should get you started.

Vita gets my vote by miles. Not only do you get full support for All Vita games, but also a good catalogue of PSOne and PSP classics. Now with PS Now you can also go back and play any of the great PS3 titles you may have missed for ridculously little money. Uncharted, Infamous, and God of War on the PS Now subscription have been a blast the last month on Vita on breaks at work.

Vita of course! It play's Vita, PSM, PSP, PS1, PS3, and PS4* games! It has arguably the largest and most diverse library of any system ever. Plus with the chance of PS2 games coming to PS Now it could be like owning every Playstation console.
