If they riddled Zelda with quick time events I would send Nintendo hate mail for ten months.

QTE is one of the greatest innovation in gaming, i am not seeing it's bad. It just need to be implemented well in games. If Zelda have QTE why not, it's not if Zelda have or not the question is, it's how they should utilize the QTE without disrupting the game core.
Dungeons full of QTEs, I can't see it faring well. The devs would probably never consider it.
What about a slo-mo mechanic, like with Link's sweet new bow in the E3 trailer?
It depends on how's it implemented. For example in RE4 i liked QTEs. It just shouldn't be too much and taking from gameplay itself.
I would honestly be upset.. I've never liked QTEs, not even in games like Resi 4!

The game you described would be ripped to shreds, perhaps moreso than any other title. Fortunately Nintendo won't do that which makes the question redundant.
There'd be no reason to add them since Zelda's combat has always been more open and fluid with your own input, but I do believe Nintendo would come up with an excuse, gaming channels on YouTube would rant about it and then people would forget about it.

I think it's hugely important that all future commenters explain what they were doing before they started typing. Yes, this is definitely the way forward.
