Forums - Sony Discussion - Thinking about getting The Order 1886

I just want opinions from people who have actually played the game.  So no trolling or flaiming the game just because.  So from the people who have actuallly played it, is the story good?  That is really what im looking for, is the story good enough to merrit a buy?  For the record i enjoyed Ryse as well, so i dont mind these short cinematic games honestly.  I dont know if i want to wait or get it today though.  Pnuema and Killer Instinct's Aganos is coming out friday as well, so that may play a role in my decision as well

i would wait a bit, 60$ is a lot, and you dont need to be early because there is no mp. you can play it in the summer or next year, doesnt realy matter...

I bought it, just put it in last night and I happen to be enjoying the game at the moment. I've only played about 30 minutes of it so far, it reminds me of the Walking Dead game.

i bought but have not started it. planning to start tonight actually. i was going to 2 days ago but i fired up the soundtrack first and it was sooo good i ended up just listening to that all night.

I got the game on launch and I don't regret it, if you like cinematic games you should like The Order. The gameplay is good, as is the story and characters.

I was actually thinking about replaying it today...

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

The soundtrack is really good. It's done by the guy who did the deadspace one, and the guy who did the Journey one helped write the first song.

Its great, took me about 8-9h to complete. Solid gameplay, graphics, cinematic presentation, its all there.

I'm in the middle of Infamous SS (and First Light) right now. So I got the collector's edition (great figurine, by the way) on launch, but have only played it up to the first fire fight. I can say that there are less QTEs in the game than I was lead to believe. The graphics are easily the best I have ever seen in any game. Ever. Period. And I'm a PC gamer. And the shooting feels clean and tight.

I think I'm close to end of the game and I'm enjoying it thus far. It isn't as cutscene-loaded neither a QTE fest as most reviews say and the gameplay is quite enjoyable. Liked the story, can't talk about the ending since I still didn't finished it.

It also helps that the game is completely dead dropping gorgeous. Best visuals of all time for any game, anywhere. It has that CGI feel.

The game sounds like Uncharted to me, so if you like Uncharted, Id definitely pick it up.
