PS4 is not doing worse, it's selling at the same pace, if not slightly faster.

Yes the PS3 was expensive, but the PS3 had better software and had 2 holiday seasons in the first 14 months.  If the PS4 gets good dev support from local developers, I see no reason why it can't sell as many as the PS3 lifetime.

The first holiday season was also launch period for both wii u and ps3, so it doesn't matter. By the way, ps4 had a much better launch than ps3 but quickly fell behind, meaning it's not the same pace. Ps3 required a big turnaround and selling decently even after 5 years on the market, wich is highly unlikely for ps4.

Launching during the holidays does matter.  The PS4 didn't sell out on launch day, probably because February is a slow shopping month.  If it had launched in November or December, and was able to benefit from another holiday season, you bet your ass it would have sold more after ~12-12.5 months.

What kind of logic is that?  The PS4 sold a ton out of the gate because it wasn't supply constrained and it saturated a certain demographic of gamers quicker.  It's a FACT that the PS4 is currently selling at a similar or faster pace... the numbers don't lie.  When the PS4 sells less than the PS3 after x amount of time with launch dates aligned, THEN you can say it's selling at a slower pace.

VGChartz hasn't even taken into account Media Creates numbers, they have PS4 selling 19,629 for the week ending the 15th of Feb, Media Create says it sold 24,737, it's in the latest articles:

http://gematsu.com/2015/03/media-create-sales-22315-3115

http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/42050/Japan/

It's also out for the weeks before that, like I said adjustments will be made, it happens all the time.

Your weeks are off.  You linked to Media Create ending the week of 3/1.  Your VGC link is for the week of 2/15.

No I didn't, that link for MC shows the week previous in brackets, VG Chartz has their sales estimates for the week ending 15/2/2015, the figures in brackets on the MC page are for that same week, they're much higher.

Not for japan numbers on vg chartz, for the reasons I already said.

Vg chartz uses the middle numbers between media create and famitsu. Yet another point you are wrong.

You have proof of this?

You haven't proven I'm wrong about any of this yet.

If I have proof? How about every week of sales? Just do the math.

There are 2 weeks of separation.  That means the previous week in brackets in still 1 week off.

My bad, it's the 1st time using that site for me, but the figures are still off as this link shows:

Just like I thought, You're still not admiting your mistakes even after a detailed explanation on why you are wrong.

Here's a little gift, japan sales week ending feb 15: Media create has ps4 at 21.381. Famitsu has ps4 17.981. Vg chartz has ps4 at 19.629, or MC + famitsu divided by 2.

Mistake? You showed no proof for any of your claims, yet you say I made mistakes, I made no mistakes here in my replies to you.

You making an assumption isn't proof, provide a link to a site analyst stating that they use that math, otherwise it's just your assumption.
