Do you know how many fan-made power ranger movies are in development? They're all set in a dark tone.

I never cared for power rangers but if you like 'em, to each their own.

I'm putting the fanbase of Power Rangers into question here, because so far, the franchise that spawned in the merchandised TV shows era of the 80s and early 90s has been very campy or just ok like many many others and they still love it. So I'm not sure they're worthy of a real movie.

Whether or not it's worthy, what are the chances Hollywood DOESN'T give it a a go at some point? They'll make movies out of any existing properties, cus if they had to come up with something new and interesting that might actually require effort on their part

Don't get why a kids tv show has to be "darkened" ... there aren't enough adult fans to justify such a movie.. I blame DC for making superhero movies not suited for childeren..

That has to be one of the most well produced turds since Other M. Totally doesn't get the source materials.

Well, there were enough kid fans back then, but contrarily to DC, they totally forgot or remember how crappy the show was.

Also most DC comics are not tought primarily for children.

Ironically, this short film is not meant to be taken seriously.

"I think the trick that I really wanted to do with this was to make that dark and gritty version that everybody keeps talking about, but really do it. Really see if I could totally accomplish it with essentially a really incredible incredibly silly property."

"And by the way, the dark and gritty reboot thing is such a cliché that the intention was not only to make it dark and gritty but make it even darker and grittier than you could possibly imagine, hence the brains, the blood and the violence and the sex."

Guys. It's a parody of excessively edgy reboots.
