What I feel is worse is that some people feel that female video games characters cannot be sexy.

Yep, pretty much this.  As an American I've noticed this trend for years.  The human form is taboo, but any level of brutality is fine.  Frankly, I leave games design to games designers.

I like sexuality in video games more than violence. It's a shame people are more offended by it for some reason.

We don't have to, and should it come to it, going before a judge, and pointing to the ESRB or whatever rating (voluntary, by the way), gets the case thrown out.
