PI is a lot more strict with the quality now than they were some years ago.  and i dont think a comperison with simcity is fair, simcity hasnt changed for 20 years, and i dont know why its not on the ps4, its a realy casual game.

So I take it that is just some attempt at an insult?

Paradox Interactive are just a publisher. Colossal Order are the developer, who have only made CiM.

Paradox isnt like EA, they realy care about what they publish.

and i didnt wanted to insult ps4 owners, but lets be real, the ps4 is limited when it comes to controlling a sim.

simcity workd on the snes, and it hasnt changed so much.

They don't publish easy to play or well polished games.

The PS4 is more limited when you want to control a point and click based game, but I don't see what that has to do with SimCity being on it because it's so casual?

SimCity 5. What SimCity 5? What EA dared to plant on the market in 2013 is not SimCity 5, they didn't even had the guts to name it as such (thankfully, it's already a disgrace to the name just as much as SimCity Societies was).

Anyway, this looks decent. Don't know if I'll try it though, Cities XL or whatever wasn't anything special either and this looks similar. SimCity 4 is still more than adequate and I play that regularly. I doubt there will ever be anything that's better. City-Building is similar to Tycoon games in this regard to me. At one point they'll release a true definitive game (RCT2), and it won't ever be topped. Which is a shame.

a good sim shouldnt be easy to pick up...    and sim city would work on ps4 just like it worked on snes. not to complex, not to cpu heavy...

I never hopped onto the new Sim City train due to what transpired around it but I also didn't hop on CIM 1-2, last building City sim game I played was City life back in 2006.

That said this is looking interesting, I'll wait to see reviews and then maybe purchase it.

Any good game should be easy to pick up, but difficult to master

SimCity would play crap with a gamepad. They'd have to redesign a huge amount of the game

sim city plays like crap with mouse too...   and ohh well cities is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo nice!

sucked away my life the last 2 weeks.    im at that point that i started to mod a bit.

its a fantastic game, and you should buy it, steam keys are below 20$...

best game this year till hoi 4 comes out...

Is there a "free mode" or "sandbox"?

I don't mind challenge in building a city, but sometimes I just want to have fun and build absurd cities.

i love paradox interactive so much! but this game will be unplayable the first 6 months. modding takes time and i dont play the vanilla version like a casual...

1. yes only a bit, havnt went total retard with the modding.  a bit UI modding here, some new buildings there.   not full retard, but there are not so many extreme mods.

2. i was wrong, this game just fantastic, sure it has some flaws, but it was good playable since launch, an the modders hadnt to fix the game before they started real modding.   i cant say how great this game is, and i hope future PI games will be that polished.

This game is A-W-E-S-O-M-E.

I´ve been hours and hours making my cities, is very intuitive, is full of stuff and even the graphics are fantastic, everything looks like a realistic city model and it feels so alive.

This is one of the games of the year, and yes, is probably the best SimCity to date.

This game was really good! 50+ hours now!
