LOL

I'm not sure what the hidden agenda was. The reviews stated QTE and I didn't find many. There's a difference between QTE and pressing triangle to advance the story. Graphics, story, and characters are top notch. The only negative I could find is the game is on the shorter side. The reason for this is the game is built from the ground up, brand new IP, and released 1 year into the console cycle. There's a lot that can be done, yes but quality takes time.

How does a 2/10 review get posted on Metacritc? I thought 2/10 was broken and unplayable. User scores are 10's and 0's. Metcritic is broken. Something need to be done. Review numbers are ruining gaming.

The Order 1886 is a single player masterpiece in my opinion. I haven't talked or met a single person who disliked it. Sales will show what a great game it is. I can't wait for the sequel.

9/10

I'm interested in hearing other people's opinion like mine that owned a 360 or Xbox One and a PS4.

Sales always prove how good a game is. Unlike review scores which are just nonsense made up numbers.

Cod's a better game than tlou confirmed.

Ltd predictions by the time 9th Gen comes out

Ps4:110million

Xbox one :75 million( was 65)

Wii u: 20 milliion

WRONG! There a lot of excelent games with low sales

I am pretty much done with most gaming journalism, and also with a big part of the gaming community.
the reviewers are hypocrites, and the community consists mostly out of dicks who overreact no matter what game or news story comes along and hardly ever contribute to the community in a usefull way.
titanfall, destiny , evolve and many other games in the last year or so, were all kinda mediocre games that did some things right but some definitely not. just like the order but there are no honest reviewers out there , or at least not a lot. because if there were, these games would have all gotten mostly the same bad press as the order did. but if you say something like that people call you a sony fanboy, xbot , retard , gay , they will rape our whole family, call a swat team or what ever. or as a reviewer you probably make less money.
you can sum up gaming nowadays as lies for the sake of profit, childish behavior, overreacting, doom and gloom everywhere.

and I know people might read what I just wrote and may be like "well you are overreacting and are doom and gloom yourself"
well maybe , but maybe I am just tired of searching for the good comments , the good discussions and the good people in the gaming community.

I will say two things:

1) Giving this game a 2/10 is crazy ridiculous. Scores this low are reserved for broken, incomplete, or worthless games. You don't even need to play this game to see how these things are not true. In fact it is one of the few games to be released in the past year that isn't buggy.

2) Calling reviewers stupid for not agreeing with your opinion is hilariously immature. I will agree that any review below a 5/10 is silly, but anything above 4/10 is fair game whether they are being "Too Harsh" or not. Some people hate linear games, and this is probably the most linear game I have ever seen.

sounds like it might still sell ok for a 65 meta reading your post, not sure what would be considered ok for The Order though, probably need high numbers to get any money back

Every story has to be about something i suppose

If The Order sells 5 million, is it a success? What defines success for a game?

hard to see it selling 5m with the reviews, but might get high due to being a bundle stalwart

It's difficult because each reviewer had different criteria and a different scoring system.

I think reviews would be more worthwhile if they stopped using numbers out of ten, and just used words. But people are too lazy to read a review and just want a number, so we did this to ourselves.

So the review system is broken just cos a certain company's exclusives aren't scoring very high?

I mean, personally I don't give an damn about reviews, I've enjoyed plenty of games that were gutted by critics, and hated plenty that were praised to the moon and back.

But to be brutally frank, I think this backlash against reviews is mostly coming from people who are just upset that their favourite console's exclusives got panned.

I am eager to see what people will say when UC4 launches and gets a metascore above 90... "They can't be trusted, I won't listen to them! Dat bias!"...

How are review numbers ruining gaming? Metacritic scores and sales do not seem to correlate.

This and sales don't always show what the better games are.

The phrase "Better games" is subjective. And that's his point. And you don't get to define what is better for me.

Over the last year or so, sales have shown that more and more people don't care what Metacritic rate their games. Evolve, Dying Light and The Order are proof of that.

No they did not ruin the game for him, but some people will not play the game now because they will pass on it because of the reviews.
