Started with N64 (played some SNES over my one friends' house, but I never knew what it was until recently) --> PS1--> PS2 (it broke so I never enjoyed it that much)--> GC (was one of my favorites loved playing Kirby Air Ride and Pokemon on it in particular) --> Wii (Christmas gift) --> 360 (probably my favorite console now, amazing games. Got me into JRPGs and modern gaming) --> Then from there on out I considered myself more of a core gamer. Bought everything and enjoyed the games I've played. Owning them all allows me to play pretty much anything I want.

I've lost the majority of consoles I had when I was younger, ya lucky devil.

It all started for me as a 6yr old kid back in 1987 with the amstrad. at this point games cane on cassette tapes and had a 17min load time to start menu.

Then in 1989 I got a PAL NES, a few months later my old man travelled to the states and bought 10 games. And I met metal gear. However I couldn't play any of the games cause they were NTSC, so waited another 3 months for an NTSC NES.

In 1992 I went to a friends house and saw contra 3 and that was that, I was hooked. Two months later finally talked my mum into buying me a SNES. She vowed that was the last games console she would ever buy for me, woman wasn't kidding.

I waited patiently for the "ultra 64" while dabbling in a booking console exchange program at the time amongst friends so I got to play the Philips cdi, 3D0 and the Atari jaguar. then sometime in 1995 I was watching a show called games world and saw a commercial.... all I remember were the words "u r not re d" and bow I knew of this thing called the PlayStation. I didn't buy it yet tho, was still waiting for the N64, until I went to my local arcade and played tekken and children of the atom. only to hear they were also on the PlayStation and that was that.. bye bye Nintendo.

I have since got every PlayStation console within the first year of release and never looked back since.

At the age of 3, nothing kept me more excited than playing super mario bros. 3, ever since, I've been asking my mom to go back to that dojo near us where they let customers rent their NES.

The TRS-80, TI-99/4A, and the Atari 130XE all had tape games. In addition to the long loading times there was also the delightful analong data noise that played while the tapes were loading.

Talking about that noise reminds me that in 1993, I started dabbling in online gaming through locally run Bulletin Board Systems using a 2400 baud modem running off of my phone line, where the modem played loud computer noise if you were lucky enough not to get a busy signal from the BBS you were calling. The BBS "door games" ranged from the simple, like Legend of the Red Dragon, to games like Land of Devastation which were reasonably credible RPGs.

I was born in 1994.

My mother wanted an SNES when she was dating my father in the early 90s, so they each chipped in half to get it (she said it was $100 at the time) -- I played a lot of Donkey Kong Country with my mother growing up on the same SNES. My mother stopped playing games as they progressed (for the most part, she loves Animal Crossing for instance); becoming 3D and introducing more complex control schemes.

The game that truly got me into gaming was Pokemon Red with my yellow Gameboy Color (not the Pokemon version). Everybody played Pokemon back then. My friends and I used to climb trees and sit on the branches and play Pokemon. My parents bought me and my little sister a N64 in probably 98 or 99; I played a lot of Pokemon Stadium, Super Mario 64, Star Wars Ep. 1 Racer, Donkey Kong 64, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.

My first foray into JRPGs and strategy game was on the Gameboy Advance. I played each Golden Sun, Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Final Fantasy Tactics, and Final Fantasy 1 & 2.

Afterwards my interest in gaming exploded and I would come to own every major system at some point or another. My favorite 6th gen home console was the PS2, my favorite 7th gen home console was the 360, and the jury is still out on my favorite this gen, but so far it's either Wii U or PS4.

I vaguely remember playing the original NES and Atari when I was super young. When I was 4-5 that's when I discovered my favorite game ever made "Earthbound". I mostly just watched people play it till a year or two later when I was a bit older to play it. I liked the SNES but we had a Genesis at our house, I remember in kindergarten I missed school and ended up playing Sonic 2 all day. When I went to school the next day I accidentally told my teacher about it, lol she wasn't pleased.

I went to my step dad's house a lot and they had an NES and SNES I would play there. I would play Earthbound every time I went there, sometimes I'd play Final Fantasy III or some of the other RPGs. I eventually got a SNES of my own, it was the first video game console I had all to myself. I remember only owning Final Fantasy Mystic Quest and Kirby's Avalanche for a long time.

When I was 7 I was introduced to my friends Gameboy and Pokemon Blue game, I was addicted to that thing. I'd give him rare Pokemon cards just so I can play it, on my 8th birthday I got a Gameboy pocket with Pokemon Red and it was like the best day of my life. I played that game religiously, hours on end. When my friends and I "hanged out" it was really just us sitting in a room playing Pokemon lol. The addiction was real.

Once I played FF7 at my friends house, a new addiction was born. Not only did I become a Squaresoft fanboy and a Final Fantasy fanboy... I was just a fanboy of JRPGs in general. I downloaded a bunch of AMVs and made CDs full of Final Fantasy music. And when I saw the PS2 there was nothing in the world that I wanted more than to just play Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy X.

Eventually I was introduced to Halo CE, I didn't really think much of it since I didn't like shooters. Everyone where I lived got an Xbox eventually with Halo CE and I was FORCED to play it LOL. We played it so much I started to like it. When Halo 3 came out everyone got a 360, I was kind of torn on what to choose as my main console but I ended up going to the Xbox 360 because Halo 3 and friends. And I guess that's when my Halo addiction started and when I became an Xbox fan.

But yeah I guess that's a condensed history. I also played the N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Game Gear, GBC, GBA, NDS, and PSP a shit ton.

It all started with the SNES, which is still my favorite system of all time, when I was 3! Since then I've owned pretty much every Nintendo and PlayStation system ( minus the Vita, not interested in one) and since last gen I've started being interested in Xbox systems as well.

I remember my dad got me a Snes system as my first console, i remember being about 6-7 and had super mario world, bubsy, street fighter, and bomberman (i had 2 pads and bomberman was one of the best co-op games ever). The games i disliked the most on the console was Mortal kombat (because the music and fighting scared the fuck out of me at that age).

Later due to my younger brother being ill i had to spend summer holidays at my cousins, i was about 8 and they had a Playstation 1 with all the best games, crashbandicoot, spyro, i loved it.

Nintendo 64 was at the hospital my brother was in and because he was in and out of it so much i managed to have a lot of time playing mario kart, super mario 64 and goldeneye multiplayer with all the other kids at the hospital.

I also had a gameboy colour when i was 8-9, had an amazing amount of foreign 99 in 1 games that were hacks, and some of the classics like pokemon red, pokemon silver etc, i've owned every nintendo handheld since, mainly for pokemon and rpg's, most fondly remembered rpg on the GBC was Dragon warrior 3, originally only got that because i asked for a dbz game and my dad misinterpreted me, but wow, what a game.

There's more, but i've got to get ready for work now, so to summarise after that i got a ps2 (chipped) from sunday market, came with like 200 cracked games when i was about 13. After that I got a nintendo wii, and buzzed off that for about 2 years until my brother convinced me to get a ps3, and now we have a ps4
