You think just because a game isn't a new ip it can't be innovative? Wow...

You obviously never played OoT and MM or SM3DL and SM3DW if you think these games don't have big differences between them.

I guess Metroid Prime wasn't innovative because it was a sequel to Super Metroid. LOL!

And no you didn't answer me, you gave one example (Portal) that didn't make any sense.

Tell me the big differences. I played all those games and they run on the same engine respectively. I liked how you ignored the fact that MM is getting released again and you are trying to say its innovative? please. Sure they have their differences but at the end of the day they are operating on the same frame work with stuff added on it. Thats no more innovative than what COD does Assassin's Creed and just about any game out there. So either they dont innovate or most people do.

Metroid isnt that innovative becasue they just took a game that was 2d and turned into a FP adventure. There were already games like that prior to Metroid Prime. Now if you wanna say thats innovative for THAT series thats fair. But its not like Ninty exists in a vacuum

You haven't played them it seems.

MM:

- You relive the same 3 days over and over again. At the end of the third day, the moon comes crashing down.

- Focus on masks, especially transformation masks.

- Focus on sidequests with a strict time schedule. Only 4 dungeons.

SM3DW:

- Captain Toad levels

- Cat suit and cherry power ups.

- 4 player multiplayer. Not something you find very often in a 3D platformer. Can you even find me one 3D platformer that does?

- Doesn't run on the same engine as SM3DL at all.

- Bigger and more expansive levels.

- Introduces a lot of new gameplay elements with each new level. In one level for example you're playing with shadows. In another level you're fighting Cat Bowser while climbing a huge tower. Or you're playing through a Mario Kart inspired level.

And please, tell me one game that plays like the Prime series.

It is clear that people just buy Ps4 as decoration item since anyone with good taste would buy Nintendo games/consoles, no one can disagree.

People buy PS4 because of the powerful brand and third party support. Using sales as an indicator for quality is a weak argument. Justin Bieber's songs are awful yet sell a lot.

Right now I think it's fair to say PS4 sales can be attributed to hype and Sony's rivals messing up.

You clearly don't know what inovation is (unless you are saying what is different from previous version).

none of what you said for zelda is inovation. They are just slight differences on game focus not gameplay since dungeons and masks were already done. The other part seems more like story element, some games already had multiple plays of the same level with each play being different because of previous actions.

Having different suits or powers isn't inovative unless it presents a mechanic never done in any other game.

Ratchet and Clank all 4 one is 4 player local and internet 3D platformer with tps elements. And 4 players co-op isn't inovative.

It seems that if Nintendo is doing for the first time you consider it inovative even if done elsewhere 10 years ago or you simply don't play a lot if they aren't made by ninty.

Ratchet & Clank isn't even a platformer lol.

Please tell me one game that is similar to MM and SM3DL/SM3DW. You say it has been done before yet you can't even give me one example. One example will do.

I believe almost every developer in the world (aside from Nintendo and a few others) are focusing too much on graphics these days. You cant blame them, that seems to be what sells a game.

nothing happen sony offer great exclusive game!

- most people are only looking for graphic
- people want cod and cod..

killzone was good, knack has well, infamous was very good same with the order 1886 i did enjoy the game and it took me 8h about so all the fuzz about less then 5h it only stuff to try to crap the game. IMO

Sony games are reviewed on a different level - people expect innovations all the time. You can have a better game in the sequel and it'll still get a lower score like LBP, InFamous and God of War.

This.

Infamous SS is a great game, Driveclub is a great game, and I'm also enjoyng the Order 1886. LBP3 is the best LBP game, best creations tools ever !

I also enjoyed KillZone SF, a good and solid Lauch Game. Bloodborne will be a blast to play, and can't wait for Uncharted4.

It's only normal that sequels score lower if they don't change up enough.
