After red dead redemptions awesome reception and really good legs giving it decent overall sales and the beast that was GTA 5 I think a red dead 2 would be a massive seller. On ps4 alone I think it would do over 10 million and with Xbox one and pc included it would sell more than 17m. 

What are your thoughts on potential sales for a sequel? Answer the poll aswell if you can.  

This thread remembers me that it's about time for Rockstar to announce RDR2.  It's weird to think that it's been five years already that RDR was released.

OP: RDR was a sleeper hit back in 2010. I never imagined it would end up selling the numbers it did. This time the franchise will easily beat the 15M in the first year.

Well it was an awesome game and a refreshing change of scenary. Way too easy gunplay though

The game was absolutely awesome on 360. Loved the story, superb gameplay, by times breathtaking visuals.
It has everything written over it that would make a successor, if done right, to be a big seller. Definitely over 10 million.

Red Dead Redemption sold around 12.7 million on PS3 and X360 according to VGC. The game's reputation has only gotten better since its launch, kind of like Persona. I expect the next one to release with a PC version as well so I'd say it could sell 20+ million.

I think considering all the down time and the lack of next-gen consoles in the wild, 12 million is a safe assumption ;)! Red Dead Redemption > Every other Rockstar Game

im gonna say 18 million. can reach even higher sales. 

I went with over 5 million. Seemed like a safe bet.
