Now before I even START this thread, I need to say this! I'm not a call of duty fanboy, I'm not a Rockstar hater either! But its time for everyone to know it! So I'm going to state it now!
1. Lack of Innovation.
So many people will completely deny, but in what way did GTA 5 change the gaming landscape! GTA 3, it brought us stunning graphics and the most open world freedom possible! GTA: VC improved on that, allowing you to grow your empire and strike it rich! GTA: SA saw a massive map of a STATE with 3 cities packed in it, while also improving on Vice City with more vehicles and better gun mechanics. GTA 4 however seemed to role back on a lot of things, but it also introducted a MUCH better engine allowing for more detail. However GTA 5 pretty much just introduced what we had in SA. The only major change where the 3 characters. I nice addition, but the innovation we saw before. But if a game is enjoyable I can take lack on innovation. The next one is definently the big one.
MICROTRANSACTIONS!!!!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!!!!
So as you can see in a subheading, I really don't appreciate microtransactions. Now people can say things like; "OOHHH ITS ONLY OPTIONAL EXPOSED!" But EVERY other game that has this is always "optional" but then people whine about that, but never about GTA 5. I hate them, I never buy them and I never will! Now on to the next thing.
"Free" DLC.
Personally, I wouldn't even call it DLC for starters, since you require it to play the online mode. Second, with the new cars and clothing and airplanes, it costs a lot of cash. So there are TONS of impatient people who just buy the in game currency with REAL money in order to get it faster.
Promising features, and not delivering.
Yup, personally the big one for this one, HEISTS!!! What is it now late February? And when where we promised this game mode, hmmm OCTOBER 2013!!! Almost 16 months we've had to wait for this game mode; 16 MONTHS!!! This is rediculous quite frankly! You've been world famous for always delaying your games, but taking 16 months to develope a MODE in the game. No Rockstar I don't care about your "sorry" excuses and your "we want to deliver the best experience!" Its clear you had it on day 1, and just want to milk for as LONG as possible! Also there where multiple features even in your July 2013 trailer that where missing in the final game and where going to be really fun!
Conclusion.
There are many more things to say, but I'm getting hungry since its almost lunch. But I am going to say this, I don't "hate" the GTA franchise and Rockstar (not yet at least). But I'm not liking their recent business practices which has favored money over consumer experience! If your all about the consumer, then start fixing these problems! I'm a consumer, I bought your game TWICE (XB 360 and XB1) and also plan on getting it on PC (if this version is bad, I swear I'll NEVER go back to another one of your pc games). So I still support them, but if I feel like I don't enjoy my experience, I can take my money else where.
