Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile developer no longer independent.

Japanese mobile company Nepro Japan has announced the acquisition of Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile developer tri-Ace.

Nepro Japan Group is currently working to strengthen its mobile game business. Together with the acquisition of Mobile & Game Studio, Nepro Japan hopes its acquisition of tri-Ace will double its mobile game sales and aim towards becoming the number one mobile game creator in both scale and quality.

(I guess this means we’ll never see that tech demo turn into a Star Ocean game.)
