Forums - Gaming Discussion - Iwata confirms Port Strike is the reason for shortages in products.

Not sure why they took this long to say anything, could have avoided some of the frustration directed at them from customers who thought the were just terrible at managing stock.

1) The strike isn't exactly news, and has been impacting just about everything (imports AND exports), so they probably figured most Americans would already know.

2) NoA IS terrible at managing stock.

It's okay, I would have bought every Amiibo but I'm just done with their lies. Every store i call says the same thing "We have Bowser, Luigi, Mario, Peach, and Diddy Kong"

Wii U + PS4

Consoles>Mobile

come on Nintendo get it together. I mean McDonalds is airlifting French fries to Japan to prevent rationing of fries. You think you could fly some Amiboos in.

Not even sure if I should bother here.

Your saying they are the only company in the world having trouble with this suppossed port problem?

Where did anyone suggest that?

Well then somebody best get busy listening to the workers' demands, no?

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

my ike and dedede amiibos delayed

So, once the strike has lifted, retailers' stock of amiibo and N3DSs will be replenished?

See, what we need is an official announcement regarding specific amiibo. I want to know if certain ones will ever appear again, and which ones won't.

Maybe this is why a copy of Pikmin 3 is almost $100?

and the reason for shortages in Australia?

Now, give me a reason for shortages in the UK....

Smaller Markets. The UK has a lot of stores that outright stopped stocking the Wii U. They did not expect the demand to be this big. Anything else is probably just distribution.

small yes but also over priced market. lots of money to be made when most of us are buying from ebay.

This really is the generation of ports and remasters. God damn you next gen!
