I am just glad Sony had the ballz to make this game. If they had listened to the gaming media the Order would have been a AC clone. 3 chapter complete on the 4th and it is something else. Unique. The gaming industry dies when a small segament of the consumers dictate to the rest how their games should be played.

Exactly.  Walking through London in the order makes me sad that assassin's creed cities could be like this.  The atmosphere and the graphics are exceptional.  Game was only 30 gigs so if they can expand their team and resources a sick content heavy sequel could be in "order"

Isn't this a tad naive?

It wouldnt be even remotely possible on a game of the scale of AC.  Obviously.

There are very good reasons why the order is able to be a very good tech showcase.

I agree, it wouldn't be possible in an AC game on current-gen hardware. But it is possible on very high-end PC's, if the game is made with very high-end PC's in mind.

Of course that wouldn't happen.

You Xbox peasants should stay in your own damn thread, quit sticking your nose in other people's business!

Yeah, everybody is entitled to his opinon; but sometimes it's annoying when fans of the other console never bring costructive topics, never bring something positive, but just keep spreading negativity, or pointing on the same subject over and over again, in general.   I believe you might agree with me.

You could say the same thing when there is a price drop of... I don't know, like a video game console.

Proud to be a Californian.

I know all that. assassin's creed would be better off making the world smaller and the game better.

That wouldn't be AC.   Better graphics in a much smaller world makes an open world game better?

I didn't just mean graphics.  Play the first few chapters of the order where you make your way through London and that's what assassin's creed should aim for in terms of atmosphere.

Neither did I.

Apples and oranges.  Its an open world game.  You cant create that kind of atmosphere in an open world game and it isnt what an open world game is about.

Actually you can. Doesn't mean they will. The things I'd like them to improve can be added to open world games.

To build an atmosphere you need a scripted scene, mood music and a known outcome.

If you are trying to build atmosphere and I suddenly run down a different road into a field, then start to climb a buidling for no particular reason then the atmosphere is instantly killed.

If you are saying you want a hybrid game of open world and scome scripted on-rails elements then fine, but thats a different genre.

That's not what I mean. Out of mission it's very hard but in mission atmosphere in assassin's creed is so lame. They could also improve special effects and things like weapon effects.  The order mastered this. Kinda hard to play other games after experiencing it.

You clearly never played the Prime games lol.
