Of course Nintendo likes a website that gives an aggregate score which favors them. When they had the Wii they boasted about sales. They are going to boast about wherever they are superior to the competition.

Did i am saying that, i guess you need to carefully read the article who is the author? and do you really thing they make better then the other company becuase meta critic say. Well i am sory meta critic does not judge how good the games are, sory to disapoint you.

I was under the impression that developers had to perform above a certain metascore to get their bonus, i.e. a legitimate economic measurement.

Well sorry, but  i couldnt understand sometimes what you were saying. and even though your not the author you probably agree with the article. so thats how i meant it. Also metacritic does not judge how good a game is? well thats kinda what they do, they judge how good a game is by alot of reviewers. Even though yes in the end its everyone personal taste what they think is good. But maybe you are against nintendo somehow, or you hate nintendo idk. Just seems that way to me. So ofc you will try defend your statements :)

that's just add another reason why metacritic should come to an end. 

May be right that it is not a very good measure of how well a game will succeed in sales, but it is as "objective" measurement you can get in a creative industry. If only profits are counted everything that will be produced are F2P mobile games.

To bad what Nintendo need is not love or hate but critics, please don't compare me with people who love or hate a company. I can accuse you for hating Nintendo because you opposing any critic that help Nintendo, maybe the opinion on the the article is a little bit hard,  but that is understandable due to the click bait factor, but saying because of hate is not right. Please, you need to understand that hate is not a word  that worth to discuss when you discussing game sales.

"objective" words  is a little bit to hard to say when you accumulate number from different site who have different type of review system, and when you dont know if  the reviewer is the right person to review, and also with many pay reviewer out there, i guess is not hard to tell that it's really unscientific to judge with meta critic. But if you are saying "it's the only one out there for NOW to judge generaly, then i might accepte it.

Do you mean like the critics who all seem to agree that Nintendo is releasing very high quality software?    (Which seems like a very relevant thing to mention to investors IMHO).   Or are the 'critics' that "Nintendo needs" only important if they have something negative to say?  Your point seems awkwardly contradictory.
