Also, the way that this article is written is just so lolz worthy "boring investor types" "Iwata. Dude. Stop" "Yuck. Nintendo. Yuck"

Its like its written by a 12 year old or something

It's from Kotaku, so ...

No matter what Nintendo does some people will just want to make it sound negative.

If Nintendo gives the Wii U a price drop = "Wow, Nintendo's getting really desperate".
If Nintendo talks about how their system has the best reviewed games = "That's just sad".

if they were talking to the public sure, but this was to their investors, people that want to know about money and profits not metacritic scores.

As I said in the other thread - Nintendo is so out of touch that they think that downloadable games don't count.

Well, the "article" is annoying in form but the point is still valid; boasting about metascores is what forum goers and adolescents do and it seems weird and kind of childish to me. Plus; let's look at the tally when the One and PS4 are two-and a half years out and it's not like the Vita has any support...

It reminds me of when Sony or MS talk about the "Xbox family" or "Playstation family" in PR; it looks silly.

That is unlikely to stay the case for much longer, looking at the 2015 release schedule. Then what are they going to do?

At least they don't do this:

While that has some validity, I would just like to point out that when Nintendo had Pokemon and Smash do really well and help bring them into profits for that quarter (iirc), there was an article put out about how Nintendo's success wtih those titles was killing them.  So yeah, there are a number of publications out there that have no intention of ever admitting Nintendo is looking up :P

I don't see the problem.

Holy crap a company taking pride in their work!

What sort of sick World do we live in?

Release Splatoon, Zelda U, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi's Woolly World, Mario Maker, Majoras Mask, Project S.T.E.A.M., Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, Monster Hunter 4, Puzzle & Dragon: Mario Bros Edition... etc.

Question is, what are Sony and Microsoft gonna do? The third party support that pushed them ahead seems increasingly careless...
