1. 3rd partys know the is a market there for them since the has been great success with the genre so far on Steam.

Evidence ?

A Number of JRPG's that released has been on the steams best sellers list, Valkyria Chronicles was on it for a number of weeks and in first place none the less, not bad for such an old game now imagine what numbers a New Tales of game or FF15 etc would do on steam .

Plus i dont think it would be getting so many JRPG's lately if they wasnt selling or the was no market for them?.

There is only one single example of it doing well. I'd argue it's more of the exception to the rule rather than evidence that JRPGs sell well on Steam. Great success is greatly exagerrated.

Valkyria Chronicles is a strategy game, though!

Doesn't stop it from being a JRPG. Something can be strategic and a JRPG at the same time. Look at something like Borderlands, that's a FPS and an RPG at the same time. Games don't have to be just 1 genre...

But would you call Advance Wars to be an JRPG?

Advance Wars is a turn based strategy game. It's not an RPG. Valkyria is an RPG. The moniker can be loosely applied.

More people can play Tales the better, my favorite JRPG series.

This is one of those few games that I've heard of, know people seem to love, and yet I know nothing about it and have never even seen it played.

Methinks it's time I investigate this a little... I used to love jrpgs :p

Ahh no??.

The has been a number of JRPG Re-Releases thats made it into the steam best sellers list (FF3/FF4/FF13/FF13-2/Agiest Series/YS, etc etc). Not suprising when your selling to a user base of 80+ million users who have been starved for JRPG's on PC, even if only less then 5% of that user base showed interest in your game thats still very big numbers. If old re-releases of games can sell so great i can only imagine what the Big Name JRPG's would do on steam if they get released at the same time or within a few weeks/months of the'r console release.

If JRPG games wasnt selling well, then why compared to before are so many of them getting released on steam lately??.

Because the games that are releasing have such low costs associated with them, that it's ok to sell a few thousand copies. It's been fantastic for series like Ys and Agarest, because budgets were so low, it would have been hard for them to not turn a profit on a platform like Steam.

FF13 didn't touch the top sellers list though. :-/

If it wasnt coming to PC it wouldnt be on the Steam Database.

Halo 4 was on steam database too, same for others old games.

Never believe the database of Steam/amazon/etc.

I hope this is true :D

i do think this is very likely to happen, but since there has been cases of games being on the database and never actually being released on steam, then i guess i will have to wait some more for a confirmation.

sweet 1 out of the 2 PS3 exclusives i'm excited for might be coming to PC.

Hopefully Graces is one of those though, because if Zestiria is anything like Xillia, Xillia 2, Abyss, Symphonia, or the other 3D games, which it looks like, then it's garbage.  The 3D Tales games blow.  The only good one is Graces because of the change in gameplay, something that we get a watered down version of in Xillia, plus a garbage level up system.
