PS3 won't overtake 360 this year, unless it plans to sell double/triple the 360's amount each and every week, it's just ahead each week as it is.

I'd say it'll overtake in mid-late 09, if not then, definitely by 2010.

I highly doubt PS3 will sell 11 million this year. I'd say that 8-9 million per year is a reasonable figure for PS3 sales, but even then if microsoft continues to hit 7 million a year, PS3 taking over will be a while away.

Ps3 should outsell the 360 by mid 09. If it doesn't accomplish that then Microsoft will be in a very good position. I don't think MS will release a new console before the end of 2010. Although if the ps3 starts dominating it could happen sooner.

I think MS is going to announce a new console for fall 09. So I think the PS3 might overtake the 360 sometime in spring 09.

Back over the Summer I was predicting the ps3 would pass up the 360 in late 2010, but now I'm thinking late 2009.

 i agrree with u. the 5 plus million ppl who scrwed by the rrod and the disc scratching thingy will have that in the back of their heads by the time the next xbox comes out.

 11 million is very possible. 6 million can be easily sold in europe and 5  will be easily sold in america.

It may eventually catch up to the 360 due to the fact that the 360 is so unpopular in Japan and Europe and as Blue-ray gets more popular that should help it out to but I don't think it will ever catch the 360 in the NA market.

 Not just possible but likely it will do more then that.

 PS3 will have RPG Racing and shooter fans flooking to it this year, thats a huge crowd of potential buyers.  It will have sales in all 3 major markets while 360 will struggle badly in the US what used to be its best.
