Sega producer for Hatsune Miku games stated today, on Project Mirai Deluxe (3DS) release date that the 3DS Mirai series featuring Hatsune Miku would be "paused" from now on as he moves to "newer projects" and "thanks everyone for their support all those years".

As Nintendo's system is nearing the end of its lifespan, it's safe to say we won't be seeing another 3DS Miku and that the Project Diva series on Playstation is the one that matters. Project Mirai has never been even remotey close to Project Diva in terms of sales, and is priced lower. As Project Diva has also been bringing hefty DLC revenues and Mirai don't, this decision comes at no surprise.
