 a beep test ios like when you set up two sets of pylons opposite from each other in one half of an average high school gym. it looks like this kinda.

then you have to run to the other set of pylons everytime you hear the beep. it goes faster each number. so the numbers go like this; 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 1.7 1.8 1.9 2.1 get it now?

 

also tehy put on some insirational music when your running (eye of the tiger)

Haven't really been running that regularly since, so now I do an 8 minute mile once a month or so at the gym, but usually just put the treadmill on "cardio mode" or whatever and run however fast they tell me for 30 minutes to get into my target heart rate to take of my heart and lungs.

 My 8th grade time was a 7:44 mile, which was impressive since it was 2 minutes faster than 7th.

3 seconds. Though I've heard I can get surgery that can lower the sensitiviy a bit.
I hear they kill some of the nerves permanently.
I'll probably get the surgery after I get married so my wife can pay half the cost.
