Couldn't find the thread to complain or give ideas about the site that i used to see,a gilgamesh thread i think

but i have finally got around to it and it is this

I continually see certain members post on peoples walls ,baiting,trolling & generally insulting the said member,yet when you try and see their wall to post something back or have a look you are blocked from doing so or even seeing the profile 

i would put it to the most higher ups that if certain members enjoy the anonymity of walll posting insults then other people should be able to post on their walls so if you post and interact with other peoples profile walls then you should not be able to block your walls to other people,simples

 

anyone agree with this,pray tell

"if you block your profile to others then you lose the right to post insults on other peoples walls" it seems only fair to me

you can't hitback can you as their profile is blocked and is the point of the thread

why the anonymity for certain users,if you bait and troll then your wall should be open to others,isn't that fair?

If people want to hide their walls and exclude themselves from most of the site then let them be. Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

You call wall-posting anonymous when there is a name attached to each post. That's the kind of contradiction you put in a joke post. Anyway, I'll give a serious reply.

While there is no report button on profile walls, you can inform the mods via a PM that a certain member's wall contains recent flaming posts. If it is indeed flaming, it will be moderated just the same way as it is on the forums.

If you want to flame back for whatever reason, you can respond directly to the wall post in question instead of going to the offender's profile. One problem here is that you won't get a notification when the offender responds to you, but TruckOSaurus will probably work on this. The other problem is that if you get caught, you will be moderated for it.

certain members drop into peoples walls with snide remarks on subjects but you cannot pollutte their wallspace or even see their profile,don't like it myself,

if you pollute other peoples spaces your space should be open too not closed off hiding in a secret place,seems only fair,i don't care about telling teacher on them i want to stink out their wall

just report the baiting/trolling, users can still get banned for it, posting bannable stuff on a users wall doesnt sidestep the forum rules.

then they shouldn't be allowed to give if they don't want to take,i thought this site was all about that sort of thing

it is fanboy trolling,this is vgc,mods wouldn't ban these types and you can't do it back on their walls

again a simple rule whereby if you want to give it playing away you should have to take it back at home,only fair in these days of equality on vgc
