I don't think Titanfall was a missed opportunity. The game is awesome, it was awesome at launch and it has evolved tremendously in the last year since its release due to insanely committed post launch development support.

I've said from day 1 that Titanfall has laid the foundation for an epic franchise. Trust me, when Titanfall 2 launches across all platforms it's going to be huge.

Also, I can't recommend it enough, it's a compelling read for any gamer, but I would absolutely urge fans of the game, plus people that criticize it to read http://www.finalhoursoftitanfall.com/. It's an unbelievable feat that Respawn even launched Titanfall. It was in development hell for sure and it was Microsoft that came in and saved the game, hence the exclusive partnership.

I think it didn't launch with enough content to justify a $60 price tag, I heard of a lot of people saying they got bored of it after launch and the talk about the game died off fast.

It was the best MP experience last year. Ask whoever owns the game.

An outstanding MP that plays like no other and just for that it justifies $60.

Using that logic Journey could have launched at $60 too.

Really? Based on what Journey would be $60?

Short campaign, if we can call it that?

You know that most people don't buy COD and Battlefield for their SPs right?

Look at Wolfenstein's/Bioshock's numbers, compared to above mentioned titles.

Destiny? Far Cry 4? GTA Online? Mario Kart 8? Halo MCC? TLOU Remastered? COD AW? Sports games? Borderlands Pre Sequel? AC Unity? WOW Warlords of Draenor? Elite: Dangerous?

I owned Titanfall but I thought at least some of the games I listed were better MP experiences.

I don't think you liked it personally.

TLOU and MK8? C'mon man, you don't like MP on FPSsdo you?

It was the best SP experience of that year.  I'm just using your logic.  "Its an outstanding [SP] that plays like no other and just for that jusifies $60."  It actually won GOTY awards from credible outlets to back that up, unlike you saying Titanfall was the best MP experience of the year lol.

It was. As a hardcore COD and BF player for many years, Titanfall was an incredibly awesome rush. The Pilot/Titan, cat & mouse dynamic is unmatched.

I reached 10th Regen and absolutely got my $60 + a couple DLCs worth.

Titanfall will get the credit it's due when it goes multiplat.

Titanfall had a great launch. Generous amount of maps and great game modes. There was however one big problem.

You could reach level 50 in less than 10 hours.

This, right there, is the singular reason why 4+ months after TF released...its practically dead. With zero incentive to ''level up'' and minimal weapon/customization options... there really is no reason to come back once you hit L50.

Great, fun game, and the DLC maps were fantastic as well, but the unlockable and progression based content was just dire.

As for the compaign argument, TF doesn need a campaign. Just more content.
