Forums - Movies & TV - Doesn't seem to be that many great movies for 2015

I'm just excited for the new avengers movie and the new terminator movie. that's pretty much it. Nothing else has really got my attention. I usually look at all the upcoming movies on rottentomatoes.com.  I guess you got the other hunger games movie at the end of the year, but I'm not a fan of that. I don't know,it just seems like the weakest lineup of movies in a long time. Does anybody else feel the same way?

You're telling me 50 Shades of Grey wasn't the masterpiece you were waiting for

It always looks bleak this time of the year. The months between January and March are, traditionally, a barren wasteland of cinema. Things will pick up starting in May for the summer blockbuster season and then improve greatly around October through December.

There are a lot of interesting movies on the horizon: Chappie (Blomkamp); Crimson Peak (del Toro); Spectre (Mendes); The Martian (Scott); Tomorrowland (Bird); The Hateful Eight (Tarantino); Pawn Sacrifice (Zwick); St. James Place (Spielberg); The Revenant (Inarritu); and many more.

Pitch Perfect 2... thats all we need.. seriously.. the first one was such a fun movie.

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

Yeah, this year seems quite bleak.

Personally, I don't have much hope for these movies based on the series' histories.

In the UK the Oscar films all come out in January and I saw none of them, I'm not interested in that kind of stuff however, just saw Big Hero 6 and Kingsman last week, both very good. There is Avengers, the other movies people have already mentioned, Chappie, F&F7 (if you like that sort of thing, I don't), in UK terms, John Wick is out here in april, I know you US lot have already had that...

... then again, not sure what else you need considering one of the films out this year is called Star Wars.

Hmm, pie.

Nothing that really excites me except for Star Wars.

Jurassic world, Avengers, Fantastic Four and Ant Man are supposed to be the big summer films but I can't say any of them have really caught my attention

I'm curious - do people of this generation or the last still care about Star Wars?
