let's be real, strong advertising or not, Nintendo was not going to perform that well magically in the UK with the 3DS now simply due to a Zelda remake and system update. Nintendo has not done particularly well in the UK for practically over a decade


Nanzano has made a mistake dear,57% is the boost for the overall hardware sales because of the release of New3ds/xl,3ds sales are near 30k for that week...

Your going a little too far with N3DS, nobody except a select few are even thinking this^ If anything most people want/think that N3ds will stop the major decline from happening in 2015/2016. As of Now,it has happened in Japan and it did its job. YoY is down 10% so far which is better than wat it could of been (and its still by far the market leader there).

If anything people think it'll be close to flat YoY, or slightly down(with of course some hope of being slightly up YoY).

As of now, its too early to tell yet. Its still funny because the 3ds hasnt gotten a price cut in almost 4 years now. (yes i know 2ds, but its not a 3ds/xl)

Overall, nobody should think 3DS will go back up to/close to its peak, its mre of helping sales toward the end.

Trying to remember my 2015 predictions in the end of 2015 LTD predictions thread. Pretty sure I went for a ~10% decline in 3DS for the year, so I am saying it'll be fairly flat. If my memory serves me correctly that is. If I predicted a 30+% decline in that thread it was most likely because I was not factoring in N3DS global launch. 

I was under the impression that quite a few people thought N3DS would cause a significant increase in global 3DS sales, returning it to it's "glory days" of 14 million in a year. I appear to be wrong in that impression, if most people are predicting it will hold sales steady then we seem to be on the same page.

lol, np. Maybe when N3ds was announced all/most of us (sadly including me lol) we thought it be that big, but thats just hype from the beginning. S*** i remember Vita TV being announced, and everybody was talking huge sales potential with that (because of wat it an do/bein a home console/and most important price).

There will always be that person (or a couple) who'll say optimistic predictions, and unfortunately we always remember those. Maybe that mislead you, (it does to all of us!!!)

ANYWAYZZZzzz.... Im just hoping for flat results for 3ds this year, with a decine of japan (hopefully 2.5mil there but 2mil is the safe bet).

 

 Last thing, im not saying it'll help, but potentially System Sellers can appear if they're exclusive. Only exclusive so far is XC 3D though atm
