Forums - Gaming Discussion - Finally got the PS4 20th Anniversary, PICS are now updated!!

This is a bit late as I received my PS4 20th Anniversay early January, but I went through a lot to finally get one. After failing to aquire one in the initial chaos; I had one more oppurtunity to finally secure one. Sony Canada had been delaying the preorder link for about ten days. I patiently waited for my oppurtunity to get one. On the last day, the preorder link was put up at 8:23 AM Arizona, USA time. I had my alarm set to 9:30 Am. Some how, some way I woke up a few minutes earlier. Just sitting in bed I heard my twitter notification go off. The time was 8:24 AM. I was one minute late. I immiediately rushed to my computer only to realize it was shut down. I booted it up within seconds thanks to my SSD drive. I had every single link bookmarked, I skipped twitter and went straight to the Sony Canada website link for the PS4 consoles.

Low and behold sat the preorder link for the 20th Anniversary PS4. I immeidiately clicked preorder, had paypal preset and clicked agree to terms. Clicked submit and the 10-15 second page load occured. Then. BOOM. SONIC BOOM. I had successfully finally gotten a 20th Anniversary PS4. It all worked like a charm, there was never a page crash or anything. As I got one, I noticed on twitter a few seconds after I got one Sony confirmed they were officially sold out. SO finally after all that stress and disappointment I got my 20th Anniversay PS4. I don't live in Canada and I had my brother in law ship it to me. I was very lucky and I'm grateful, this PS4 is in a die hard Playstation gamer's hands.. I will never sell this. I will post unboxing pics; I  can't now with school in the morning. Cost me $492.50 and shipping from Canada was pricey not bad though. My 20th Anniversay PS4 number is 06,029/12,300. Will post up pics soon!!

**UPDATE unboxing pics added 2/16/2015**

All of that aggression and you still ended up getting one. Sometimes, it's better to be patient and focused before widly ranting.

Congrats, either way, and welcome to our family.

You're right, most of my rant was being upset and disappointed.. Now that I think of it, I was very foolish and stubborn. I wanted one so badly and just sitting there empty handed was really sad and infuriating me. I humbled myself and let it go. Then this oppurtunity presented itself. I remember telling my cousin every day the updates of Sony Canada twitter. That random morning I was lucky. Many people were upset just like I was and cursing Sony. I saw how foolish it was and just sat there in amazement of how people can turn crazy so quickly. I took a deep breath and was releived I wasn't one of those people anymore. Thank you for welcoming me to the family =) sorry for the earlier arguments we had. At least now we can laugh about it ;)

Thank you, I wish Sony made more so everyone could have a piece of Playstation history. Actually, everyone does as long as you own a Playstation, you get to experience its beauty!

HAHAA, well I am a die-hard Sega and Sony fan ironically. I love both companies, I was more attached to Sony but the last 6-8 years really rekindled my deep care for Sega. Either way, thank you friend! Btw I am a true die hard MGS fan.. Platinumed ALL MGS and Rising game(s) across all platforms, can't wait for MGS5PP!!

Congrats! I have one too, but it cost me $1250.

My 8th gen collection

Congrats! I definitely think the 20th Anniversary PS4 is the most attractive edition. You are super lucky to have gotten your hands on one!
