It's just personal opinion, you don't have to/you can't take anyone opinion. Like myself, i didn't like Dying Light for some reason then a friend of mine asked me for some advice, "Not worth buy then?" said friend, i told him buy it or borrow someone, maybe you will love the game.

No. The 3ds is a really poor hardware, with weak graphics, weak controls (one stick until the N3ds), Region-locked games (!!), And lot of others minors points.

It's a very, very bad hardware, but the 3ds got lot of good software games, thanks to nintendo and others devs like Atlus.

The Vita is a great hardware for the cost, nearly a perfect hardware (great graphics, Region-free, great menu, theme/apps/whatever, touchscreen, etc...)except the price of the memory cards.

Of course, i have both the 3ds and Vita (and ds/psp ) , so i know what i say.

As for this remake note, i don't really see the problem.

It's not the same guy who wrote the review, it's not a New zelda, and the game is easier than the original one.

High scores are something to be won out of praise not absence of flaws, I'm sure Great bay temple wasn't the sole reason why it scored what it scored.

Y'all care way too much about scores. Majora's mask is a weird game and the temples are ugly. When I first played it through, I was thought it was the worse Zelda but still very enjoyable. Its only during my second play through that I done all the sidequests and realised they're what makes the games such a gem, not the main quest which is probably the worst in the series. Again not through being greatly flawed, but simply by not being as compelling as Ocarina/windwaker tec.

I'd give it a 10/10. Majora's mask has been one of my favorite games ever and the 3ds version is the version to play.

But we all have different opinions and I'd imagine the n64 original was reviewed on ign by a different person.

I've changed the thread title to something a little less abrasive. Everyone can see these thread titles, and we don't want to give the wrong impression to people viewing the site.

Who cares, shacknews, destructoid, digital spy all gave it an 80. It's just a review, play the damn game and enjoy it instead of complaining about one persons opinion. 

things that were counted as "strenghts" before can easily become "expected standard" over time with many games picking up and refining these aspects, which means as a package the game will just have less impact/"be less fun" if rereleased/remastered later on

there are some "classics" I played pretty recently like Doom and Goldeneye 007 that just don't hold up anymore, if I'd rate them by todays standards (as a "remastered" title should be) they'd end up with below mediocre scores in my book

even in FF tactics: the war of the lions some things, like the slow and annoying menu structure, were just a clear negative from todays perspective

that said judging by your reponse you are more interested in confirming your bias than in a discussion, so have a nice day

There was nothing like the original game at it's time, it deserved a 10/10 score. The 3DS version has minor changes that can get irritating at times, the revamped boss fights caught me off guard, the camera (even on the New 3DS) can get in the way at times, and the new swimming controls are a wee bit annoying. There's also no feeling of impending doom anymore. It's gorgeous, but it hasn't held up as well as Ocarina of Time I'd say. It deserves the overall score it's got on Metacritic.

But at the end of the day, it's all a matter of opinion, if you enjoy it then that's all that really matters.

Mayoras Mask is from a time in gaming where substance > spectacle. ;)
