PS4 has already sold 26% of what the PS3 has so far in the US.
A lot of people thinks ps4 is going to sell more and more every year... what I see is a very very front-loaded generation, but who knows.
Peaks/troughs/peaks/troughs/peaks/troughs ...
If one or the other doesn't aligned perfectly with last gen it's either Doom or Excitement.
This needs to stop.
The PS5 Exists.

Nope it wasn't a killer app, didn't even make top 20 (117k november 2007, 206k december 2007). You don't have to tell me to look at release dates. Assassins Creed had a way better launch on PS3 than Uncharted did.
And the Wii U sold less than Wii, XB1 sold less than 360, Vita sold less than PSP, 3DS sold less than DS...
I bought my first PS3 around January/February 2008 and I received $100 off for using a Sony card at the Sony store, as well as a mail-in offer for like five free blu-rays, and the free Blu-ray remote, all for $299 (Plus 5% back in Sony points!)! From $599 to less than $299 in 14 months!
Those who think the Xbox One sales around the holidays were fire sales should take a look at that time in the PS3's life.
I can also imagine that there was an influx of former HD-DVD owners switching to Blu-Ray around this time as that format folded then (apparently this was in February of 2008 according to Wikipedia).
This is not to say that the numbers for the current consoles aren't kind of dire beyond the cumulative ones.

When one sees it in that way, it looks seems bad.

yahh it was, it was the first must have on Ps3. Either or even if you want to cry other wise or not matter not.
PS4 still lacks a game of such quality and sales. Thats the point.
