For the record, I do have a big nose and big lips :P



Looks no, I don't care about that.

But finding out certain users views on topics that are not game related have certainly changed my views on them.

I don't think it would be shallow. It could be that for example User x from how he posts comes of a someone who is fat and ugly ( with some influence from the avatar ) but then comes a most attractive user contest where User X posts a pic of himself where he is thin and muscular. Obvivously this will have some sort of effect and it's pretty much a normal human reaction.
