Define real hype. It's been doing well on Amazon hourlies and some of the retailer insiders on Gaf have been saying that it has a good amount of preorders. 

yeah but that sound like internet hype by Sony fans, just like Nintendo and MS are hyping their exclusives (Bayonetta & sunset overdive for example). Not real hype like GTA V, zelda, uncharted, halo etc.

Preorders are not internet hype. They're actual people going into a store and putting down money on a game.

200,000 pre orders =/= 1m first week. just saying!

I never argued that this game would sell 1m first week. 

But I'm saying that because that's the theme of the topic

"The Order Will Sell 800k - 1 Million In One Week."

that would be extremely big for a new IP considering the sales of something bigger like Infamous SS and Killzone.

700k ww. 4 mil lifetime, unless by a shock it gets a 90+ meta than it could leg it out for a long time (think Uncharted 1)

Anything over 600k is fine by me.

I sincerely hope so. I really want this game to do well so that R@D and Sony can justify the franchise. There's so much potential here.
