Forums - Politics Discussion - More censorship by Google

Censorship? No... its about advertising.. if you log in while watching the video you're worth more to google cause they can further complete your advertising profile and spam you with the right ads..

I don't know if it is just my personal combination of script & tracking blockers that makes this work as I haven't tested it... but if you open up a full-screen playlist it still plays censored videos for me.
If I come across one I usually go to the users channel and open up a playlist to one of their non-censored videos, go full-screen then skip to the desired video. As soon as I exit full-screen I think it reloads the page so it blocks me again though.

The only censorship i ever saw from google were copyrighted content (lobbying) and CP (which is gueninely wrong)

Edit ->Title : "Pilot burned alive" yh i totally don't see why it's censored, google sucks

Somebody probably reported the video. It happens all the time. Appeal the censoring or reupload the video again.

Can subscribers appeal the censoring, and how is it done?

Age restricion.. How is it censoring when you can still view it? Even some videogame reviews have this..  And no.. once a video is flagged only the video owner can appeal when he's a youtube partner..

Age restriction to what?? Do you know what you're talking about? Have you watched the video I linked, there's nothing to be age-restricted.

Ugh.. I watched it now and i can see why there is an age restriction on it.. People will be upset if you call stuff fake when they have family members or friends Dying out there.. People i know died in the MH17 plane crash.. If a youtuber calls that fake i would be offended and i would flag the video.. But still you can watch it and he could just upload his own video's on his own website if he's worried about censorship.. There is no gun to his head demanding that he uses youtube.. Freedom of speech? Then get your own website and hosting..

You think this stuff is actively decided by Google? No. There will be a rule in place that if a video gets flagged X amount of times, impose restriction. Humans will only be involved at the appeal process.

That's messed up. So X people can report a video, and only 1 person (the owner) can appeal?

What moron thought that system up?

What's a better system? 300 hours of content are uploaded every minute to Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/yt/press/statistics.html

Vetting from Google would require a team of 18,000 multilingual people working around the clock. Unfeasible.

This is the same proess as what other sites dealing with such vast quantities of data do. Anybody can report you on Facebook, Youtube, etc. Only you may appeal.
