Josh Hutcherson fits the bill. Has the pulling power from Hunger Games too.

Best choice for Peter PARKER/Spider-Man IMO... But I dunno if he's sarcastic enough to be Spider-Man under the Cowl...

Plain and simple question. Who should play Spidey in the upcoming Sony/Marvel Studio crossover (more than Likely to be civil war).

I Personally don't mind EITHER Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfield repraise their roles as the Web head (Maguire tries so hard looking like hes 40 growing a beard but he still looks like he's 30) and I'll be happy either way (both bring things to Spidey the other does not)... But that being said, if they choose to go with any one of the old actors, does that mean they'll follow that specific Spider-Man's story arc (Like choosing to continue the OG Trilog with Maguire or go with the Amazing movie story arc going with Garfield)?

Or they could choose another actor... but who?

Toby was fine when he was younger but he still wasn't great. Garfield is crap... Give someone else a try. Can't be someone too tall or large in stature since Pete isn't, must be, or at least has the potential to be, athletic but nerdy but not to any extreme, also a smart ass (something that both Toby and Garfield had issues with). For much of that criteria I would say something like Kevin Hart lol. He's probably a bit too small but he seems to fit pretty much everything else.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

The issue I have with a new actor is how are they going to explain him for Captain America: Civil War when it comes out? they totally have to explain who Spider Man is and why he is so important to the story... that's why I'm against a new actor... but we'll see how this plays out...

Nicolas Cage. For the lulz.

I don't necessarily care who they get, but I seriously hope that they don't do another reboot. We've already seen him become Spider-man... twice... Just pick up with him already in the tights. Give us a decent version of Venom.

why do people like maguires performance so much. I always thought garfields spidey was way closer to the original

Completely agree. Spider-Man is witty, sarcastic and borderline arrogant and Garfield played that perfectly. He was Spider-Man. His biggest problem was that they made his Peter Parker a skater and the movies garnered a mixed reaction.

Also, I'm guessing people like Tobey because his movies overall were better. But, that doesn't mean he as a character was better. The same goes for Christian Bale as Batman.

there should be no face just a voice

meaning we should not be allowed to see spideys face in these movies.

Ugh, on mobile so quoting is a mess@V-r0ckI think you overstate the relevance of race. A lot of these characters have various different interpretations and generally the iconic features are behavioural characteristics, attire and physical build. Not so much the colour of their skin or facial features. Sone characters iconography definitely exists in their race like Superman or Thor (normally main characters), but plenty of others aren't so specific. The only time i think race should come into it is when the characters image is so specific/iconic you wouldn't dare change the colour of their hair, let alone their skin. Jonny storm, electro and Kingpin aren't that cemented it their depictions in my opinion.Funnily enough no one seemed to care that Jessica Alba was mixed race, but i guess the blond hair and white-ish appearance was enough for her to play Sue :p

That's just unrealistic and untrue to the character.
