MH4U pre-order is  2 time more then the opening of the best Monster Hunter i don't see how this can be true

It's not completely unlikely, especially when you consider the fact that Fire Emblem saw a considerable growth with Awakening.  I am not saying it definitely is the correct number, as I doubt that it's correct as well.  However, that doesn't mean it has to be false just because you don't think it's likely.

It could have growth but not in that extend

I too believe it is overtracked, but imo its not impossible. Like someone previously mentioned, MH3U on 3ds is near 350k in the US and thats a 3 year old port, who knows this game could potentially be big, especially with the n3ds release alongside MM 3D.

As MDM pointed out, Fire Emblem growth was huge, could well be another.

Just to be perfectly clear i too think its overtracked.

MH3U sold 45k first week

VGChartz doesn't include digital, and we know for a fact that FE: Awakening got a lot of digital sales due to low stock.  The growth was big, for sure.

We only talk about first week still not a big growth

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

So many consider MH overtracked but MP10 fine? Weird.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

We don't have data for opening week for the best-selling Fire Emblem game that isn't Awakening.

This is what they do have (click on all to see how the first weeks were recorded).

edit: If you want to see just for USA, you change "global" to "USA."  It wont change much, since the results are going to be similar.  On top of that fact is the fact that, as I already mentioned, it does not track digital.  The other games don't HAVE a digital version, so it only applies to Awakening (Virtual Console rerelease versions don't count for obvious reasons).

Since we don't have first week sale for all Emblem games then it's a bad exemple to prove MH4U preo-order are  not massively overtracked

You do realize that you're moving the goalposts, right?

I hope The Order rises to at least 250K pre-orders. 16K average over the final 3 weeks will do it.

Batman and The Witcher III are coming along very nicely.

Monster Hunter is probably overtracked.

If it isn't, I would like to see what this means for the series in the West... and I would probably want to know why it happened.  However, I'm not sure how accurate VGChartz usually is with this stuff, so I take these with a grain of salt.

I would probably only trust VGC for console sales.

MP10 has been getting a lot of attention lately. It was on #1 on amazon germany for quite some time.

I think a lot of people are underestimating the potential of MP10, especially with the dedicated Wii U userbase.

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)
