Reading more details I wonder why Sony is doing this?

According to the Disney/Sony press release

Sony is receiving no money outright,

They will receive no money or box office gross for any appearances of Spiderman in MCU films i.e Avengers films.

They will receive no money from merchandising that includes Spiderman as part of a team.

The only way Sony receives money is the gross of solo films that feature no MCU characters not even 5 second cameo's and solo Spiderman merchandise both of which they already get.

It's not like the ASM Spiderman films aren't profitable there both in the top 10 highest grossing Marvel films along with the original trilogy and last year's X-Men.

I could understand if all the MCU films after the avengers were making $1 billion+ but only IM3 did that ASM2 made more than Thor 2 and only a tiny bit less than CA:WS and 9% less than GotG the 2nd highest grossing film in the USA in 2014.

THat seems odd and strange. At that point they might as well have sold it unless they are still allowed to do their own moives.

As for your other stuff good points but i wouldnt waste time. I get tired of people holding Fox and Sony as bad guys where was Disney back them to bail out Marvel? I dont get why they are praised and others villifed. Its not like everthing Disney done has been great.

I wonder how much they had to pay Sony.

All future Spiderman films are Sony's they are just being set in the MCU it's like how Marvel before Disney bought them got Paramount and Universal to agree to share Iron Man and Incredible Hulk.

The next solo Spiderman film in 2017 will see all money go to Sony, Disney get the money from Spiderman appearing in the Avengers and CA:CW.

Which is why I don't get it being in the MCU isn't going to change the Spiderman fatigue that the ASM films are suffering from and IM3's huge Avenger boost was much smaller for CA and Thor.

That does seem strange maybe they got money for each time he appears?

I dont suggest in jump into Avengers, just show face and leave. I think he might be too big for Daredevil TV but i wouldnt mind

Oh no, not Spidey in the Dare Devil TV thing, DareDevil (or Matt Murdock at least) in Spidey. I mean they do have a common enemy in Kingpin after all.

Hmm, pie.

Really?! i thought Avengers got way better. Why not drop it then? I kinda gave up I feel that Disney is starting to infringe on the comics. I can see them lowering the importance of anything not owned by them, its already started.

Honestly, no idea why I haven't given up (blind hope, completionist). I think I expected better. After the Avenger's films and SHIELD TV series I expected the main Avenger comics to be more grounded. Back to a traditional team and setup, fighting the normal set again but Hickman went mad, started doing odd things but he had an interesting start. Now it seems just broken. I remember reading just at the start of this weird count down they are doing a really interesting 10 pages of an issue, well writen, clever hidden plot and it pipped my interest again (art helped, can't beat a good bit of Jim Cheung art). So I stuck with it. May have been a mistake.

Uncanny is getting better but Bendis is now leaving.

But Magneto's not there father it was retconned in the comics.  Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver were originally the children of WW2 superheroes then it was retconned to Magneto now it's being retconned to someone else.

Yeah, and apparently Erik Lehnsherr's name is not Erik. It's Max something. Utter bullshite. It's this kind of writing that dawns on the pathetic in comics. These people can't think of good plots so they take a character and change them to fit their story instead of just writing a good story about them, maybe them growing as people. Although, I knew about the WW2 heroes thing, (Whizzer and Miss America?) the latter I did not. Marvel.com still has Mags down as their father.

But that is beside the point, the idea is that their personalities are pretty much defined by their heritage, both mutant and their father. Quicksilver especially, he is proud to be mutant but doesn't want to be like Magneto.

EDIT: That is now though... I'll see where they take it.

Hmm, pie.

I hope they recast the actor. Tobey was a much better Peter Parker... Garfield's Peter Parker makes absolutely no sense.

Actually... i would love it if they could bring back Tobey. Mature Parker over juvenile Parker anyday.
