Now it is Fox's turn to bring X-men and Fantastic 4 to MCU :D

X-men and Fantastic 4 did participate in the Inifinity Wars Saga.

Spider man 4 with Tobey.

Sweet mother of Holy Baby Jebus! about time.

Now, FOX stop crying and make the Marvel Universe whole. No Mutants means no Marvel Universe.

Hmm, pie.

Nope. That won't happen ever. Do you know how much merchandising moves the original Spiderman suit? Nobody would risk losing even a fraction of that by changing the costume.

Merchandising ruins a lot of things in Marvel, I think a while ago Chris Claremont wanted to change Psylocke back to her British self but the company said no due to branding. The asian one is more recognisable, a stupid reason, original was first and established before asian came along.

I hope they actually do what people wont expect and not make a big deal out of it. I like the 1602 route just have him show up with Nick Fury one day, say this is Peter Parker. No costume yet but he has powers and experience and progress from there.

I think they could easily do it by say establishing characters or terms instead of just ignoring it. Mention Oscorp a few times and that is enough.

Also, think smaller, just because Spiders is in the MCU, doesn't mean he going to jump into the Avengers anytime soon, took Spider-man 45 years to do that in the comics. This however doesn't mean he can't be referenced in someone or others can't guess star in his side. Lets put it this way, DareDevil and Spider-man are good friends.

Hmm, pie.

The thing is the majority of people know only about one version of Spiderman, the traditional: red, blue and white costume, Peter Parker photographer, a bit geeky, with great power comes gret responsability... It's too ingrained in popular culture to change anything. I was surprised when they used Gwen Stacey over Mary Jane in the rebooted version. But that is just a relatively minor character. If you change the identity of your main hero (maybe for the clone saga one, the ultimate replacement, the Doc Oc fiasco of Superior Spiderman...) you are going to get backlash, even if everything works flawlesly.

They're going to get backlash if they do Peter Parker's origin story for the third time in 15 years, too. They will get backlash no matter what they do.

People know who Spider-Man is. They can recognize the costume even if it doesn't look exactly the way they're used to it. If you put big bold letters spelling SPIDER-MAN on a poster they will not be confused.

If the movie is good I really don't care what they do. But I think that the Amazing movies proved that the red-and-blue Peter Parker story isn't a guarantee of popularity. Meanwhile Marvel is greenlighting movies left and right for characters who aren't well known to the general public in the least bit -- Guardians of the Galaxy, Inhumans, Black Panther, hell even Doctor Strange and Ms Marvel are relatively obscure. Guardians proved that the success of their films is not dependant on what "the majority of people know."

I think people are tired of Peter Parker. I know there are still fans of the Toby Macguire films who turn their noses up at the very suggestion of rebooting the character so soon after shutting those down. There will probably be a similar group of fans of the Andrew Garfield films who won't easily warm up to the idea of him being replaced. Telling both of those fanbases that the movies aren't being replaced or rebooted and introducing the new films almost as a sequel to the basic idea of the older ones is a simple way around that.

It's weird how you know Superior Spider-Man by name but apparently not Miles Morales.

Not going to happen. I don't see why Fox would give up control of X-Men. Fantastic 4 I could see them giving up if the reboot sucks, but not X-Men.

Not about control, just mutual ideals. All Fox have to do is let mutants be part of the MCU and I'm fine with it, the X-men need never appear along side Cap or Hulk, they rarely do anyway in comics (until recently anyway). BUT Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch not being mutants? Their father not being Magneto? That's a little too much for a fanboy like me to ignore.

Well Miles is part of the Ultimate universe and not many people, casuals espeically, care for that. Spider-Man is different beast as well. He is Marvel's most iconic character and Peter Parker is synonymous witht the character. I doubt a change from Peter Parker to Miles Morales would be well recieved. Also, I think fans are just tired of poor Spider-Man films (although I personally liked The Amazing Spider-Man films) and reboots. I doubt Peter Parker is the problem especially considering The Amazing Spider-Man 2 still made over $700 million even with its mixed reaction.

I completely agree. Mutants are the backbone of the Marvel universe. However, I doubt Marvel would want Fox to keep control of the characters and I don't see how a deal would benefit Fox in anyway besides a little extra money. They're still making great, profitable X-Men films and they've built a pretty nice universe. With that said, I wish Hugh Jackman would get a cameo in a MCU film. It would be fucking awesome just to see a glimpse of him with the other Avengers.
