I prefer the X-Men movies to the Spider-Man or Avengers movies (*runs*).

First Class and Days of Future Past are great, not sure why you should run. Especially since almost nobody really likes The Amazing Spider-Man films.

But other than that, meh. I don't find X-Men Origins or The Last Stand terrible like most people. But meh.

I hope they actually do what people wont expect and not make a big deal out of it. I like the 1602 route just have him show up with Nick Fury one day, say this is Peter Parker. No costume yet but he has powers and experience and progress from there.

Honestly i dotn think they need to do a movie for a WHILE like 2020 earliest

X2, DOFP, FC are all great movies to me I liked all three of those better than any Spider-Man or MCU movie. X1 is a decent film with a smaller budget (understanable).

Last Stand and the Wolverine movies ... not as good, but probably not as bad as they get. Spider-Man 3 was all kinds of awful, even the last Iron Man movie was a complete trainwreck.

Am I the only one who liked TA Spiderman 2 way more than the Marvel films? Actually, am I the only one who liked TA Spiderman 2?

Nope I preferred them too,  I find based on forum comments that it depends on what your first exposure to Spiderman is. if it's the comics  it's the original trilogy if it's the 90's cartoon it's the ASM films.

Nothing wrong with that. I've only really liked four of the MCU films—Iron Man 1, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy—whereas I liked X-Men 1, 2, First Class, The Wolverine and DOFP. The best thing about the MCU are the crossovers, but up until the latest two films I've felt their movies have been pretty meh.

Praise be, thank you for doing the right and smart thing, sony.

But the Sam Raimi movies were Sony movies too =P

So it's the director's fault really. Just have to choose it better.

I thought Columbia Pictures did the Raimi trilogy?  Then Columbia's rights expired after Spiderman 3 and Sony got the rights, then Sony and Raimi got into a disagreement over the future of the series and Spiderman 4 got cancelled while it was still in pre-production.

Probably the only thing that'll make me watch these new Sony Spiderman movies is if they reboot a 2nd time with a new director and new cast, some of the casting in the reboot was just awful. Also, bring back MJ as Peter's main love interest, I always liked her more than Gwen.

Sony bought Columbia Pictures in 1989 it's how Sony picture started before then Sony never made films.

No, you're not alone. I actually really liked The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were perfectly cast. In my opinion only four of the MCU films have been great and rest have been mediocre to decent.
