Forums - Gaming Discussion - Apple Reports Largest Profit In Holiday Quarter For Any Company In History

Cool for Apple I guess, not really a big fan of their closed wall garden, I'm more of a guy who likes customisation and the freedom to choose what he wants and does with his tablet/phone.

Still enjoying my Nexus 7 though and soon I'll eventually take the dive into getting a new phone after probably a decade and go for Google's Project Ara phone when they release it, really digging the customisation possibilities.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

My OnePlus One is better than the iPhone both in battery and benchmarks. The price is less than half. (64gb, 280$. 3gb ram. ffs!)
But it's not the "new and cool" iPhone X, so of course no one cares. Meh :/

You also need so much extra crap to use the phone, or any apple device. What happened to simplicity and freedom?

The original iPhone was a revolution, the iPhone 6 is the complete opposite of a revolution..... Yet despite being sold 400 dollars over it's manufacturing cost.. It sells like crack.... Apple night as well sell the i7 for 750 just to beat it's own records

cultofmac? Seriously, It says "According to Glyn Williams over on Quora, iOS devices run better than Android devices with twice the RAM because Android apps use Java, and need all the extra RAM to do something called garbage collection.

Read more at http://www.cultofmac.com/303223/ios-twice-memory-efficient-android-heres/#yGEJS3DWQVHUICoG.99" and "And as we’ve previously seen, more RAM negatively affects battery life too, which is part of why Android phones need to have larger batteries to attain the same battery life as an iPhone 6 too.

This is so wrong that it screams at your screen. "Something called garbage collection". I mean... No, I won't discuss it any further but please, this is not food for thought. This article is nonsense, bar beyond any technical background.

Granted, this was in April, and pre-iPhone 6.

No matter how you look at it, when it comes to performance vs price, OnePlus destroys the competition.

What extra crap? Try plugging your phone/tablet whatever into a computer without the apple taint, and simply drag and drop a media file on to it. You know, like every other device in the world is capable of. Then open up the device and try to play it. As long as the format is common enough, pretty much every single device can access it. When it comes to apple though... You require A BUNCH OF EXTRA CRAP. I don't care for that extra crap. I don't care for Apple forcing their software on me, restricting me at every turn. It's horrible.

SD-cards? Chargers? LOL nope. Better buy some apple-approved lesser product at 3 times the cost. And this is after you've payed half an arm for the phone itself.

Am I biased? Oh yes. I'm very biased. Everything Apple sell on hype and perceived luxuary. They're a great company, making ridiculous amounts of money.

Their products however, are not worth the money.

I assume you're talking about this?

Well I tried antutu yesterday

38,179 vs 52,873

If you're going to search for youtube videos about antutu comparison then be sure that video is uploaded later than January 21, 2015 because that was  when antutu released the update for the IoS8. I can see some comparison videos using antutu designed for ios7 to run the benchmark on Iphone 6 which is IoS8 default.

Why would I need to drag and drop when it "syncs" when I open the itunes on my PC? and AFAIK you can drag and drop photos and videos even without itunes. That's the thing I like about itunes. movies, videos, apps and games are all available there so no need to worry about format compatibility. Buy it on your pc then just download it on your iphone/ipad/mac anywhere just as long as you have internet access.

AFAIK you can buy 3rd party chargers on Iphone 6 as long as it has a lightning cable, although I wouldn't recommend stuff without the MFi certification but the choice is still there if you don't want stuff with MFi just be prepared to have subpar products.

You also can't upgrade Oneplus One built in storage capacity with an sd card....

Funny that you keep bringing up hype and "percieved luxury" when Oneplus One is using that invite system to make their product look exclusive and create more hype.

Was in an Apple store at Monday afternoon, 2pm. Typically, the slowest day of the week for retail.

The queue was going around the store and out of the door, just for the iPhone, how many months has it been on the market for? I asked the shop assistant, you can only buy one if you put in a reserve, thousands get reserved everyday, and the queue hasn't gone down since the phone released.

You guys thought the Nintendo Wii had shortages...

This is in HK, btw.
