Prediction: Xenoblade Chronicles X Will Be A Bigger System Seller Than MK8+SSBU (in Japan)

Yes I said it, bump in 3 months :p

For those who only think MK+SSB can push systems (nintendo) we'll find out soon enough :)

(Media Create #s)  (SSB released in Dec)

Game      ~   2 Weeks Before Release  ~  Week Before Release   ~  Games Release      ~    Percentage Increase

Mario Kart 8:             6.7k                    ⇒            9.0k                   ⇒        19.3k            ~          214% Boost

SSB WiiU:                   9.6k                   ⇒          12.5k                   ⇒        24.5k            ~          196% Boost

Hmmmm. That's possible. When I first read the title I was like NOPE, but just in Japan... HMMMMM. Possible. WW, not a chance, doesn't have the mass appeal unfotunately even though it looks AMAZBALLZ!

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

You are missing the point. Tbone isn't saying it will sell better.

Yeah you right that's my mistake sorry, but still my opinion, bigger games sales it's also help selling the system. It doesnt always work that way but normaly it always does

Let's hope it turns like you hope for and hopping JRPG games will flourish when it happens. But in my prediction XCX does not have a hype like SSB or Mario Kart and this:

and don't forget SSBU and Mario Kart 8 have bigger market target while XCX is for teens and above and JRPG lover (while i agree most Japanese gamers like Jrpg but there are some non Japanese Wii U owners live in Japan)

Why use January 26th?

Because FFXV doesn't even have a release date or even Kingdom Hearth 3.  It doesn't mean the list only for game which will be release on January

Still way to low considering how good it looks. Hopefully all this recent news, directs, and bundles can really help this game out.

and then compare to the list when SSBU and MK8 haven't release yet (prior 2013 list i think ) and just look where SSBU and MK8 stand and compare it with your new list. It's already answering the OP prediction if we use hype matter for predict the future sales. Yeah but i hope it will help Wii U and i am wrong.

Edit: My list is more up to date then yours actually

TheGoldenBoy said:
Didn't you say the same thing for SSB in comparison to MK8?

Anyways, I doubt it. It might give a week or two boost, which most games tend to do, but I think Wii U sales will return to pre-launch levels again.

Yes i did, i made a wrong prediction, dont know wat it has to do with this? My other much much bold prediction i recently had people thought i was crazy and i was close to the mark... (SSBU+3DS hitting close to 10mil Shipped by years end)!  Since we are talking about my predictions of course, I can name all the crazy/unbelievable ones i got right if you like :0

As for your second comment, im talking just week of launch not long term^

Cool.

If you think good games bombing is cool, here's hoping Xenoblade Chronicles X can't break 100k.

95% of games in japan dont break the 100k barrier lifetime, and XC sold over 150k as a new ip. Its no bomb

Xenoblade was closer to 190k on Wii actually.

The game had a fantastic life on the second hand market, it actually sold more used copies than new ones, had a great word of mouth and was a fan favorite.

Really, the only thing stopping XenoX to do well its the WiiU.

Yeah i guess we can blame Wii U for that. But the point is,  it will be difficult for XCX  out selling  SSBU and MK8 sales.

Who's tlking abot XCX being bigger than SSB/MK? Where talking about selling HW here^

I am alredy answer that to clyde, so i hope you can read all the comment (it's your thread after all )

Edit: Normally, games sales directly affecting the consoles sales as well.

Isn't the bundle releasing like a week before the stand alone version?

I remember reading something like that earlier today, it'd be cool if Nintendo released a unique looking system with the game rather than the plain black one.

XenoX is releasing the same day as the second expansion of Dragon Quest X and the Puzzles and Dragons Mario game, hopefully it stands out.
