So after hearing that Xenoblade Chronicles X is set to be the biggest Wii U game in file size, I decided to look into other retail Wii U games to compare. I found that Watch Dogs is the one of the biggest games on Wii U at 17.7GB. While I found that interesting enough in and of itself, I decided to compare it to the other consoles versions. Interestingly enough, the Wii U version is 2nd biggest:

PS4: 18GB

Wii U: 17.7GB

PC: I've read stuff online varying between 13.5 and 25GB, can someone who owns it verify?

Xbox One: 14.44GB

PS3: 13.5GB

Xbox 360: 7.33GB

Knowing that the Wii U version got no extra content, anyone have any idea of what it could be? Is it the GamePad integration and Off-TV Play? Also what's with the over 6GB disparity between PS3 and 360?

The PS3 version is bigger than a DVD. Probably just extra compression on the X360 video cutscenes.

I forgot about the whole PS3 games are on Blu-Ray whereas 360 games are on DVD. Still that's a hell of a lotta compression.

Lego City Undercover needs 21GB according to the eShop. The install size could be a little different.

Not sure what's so big about Watch_Dogs Wii U...

Some versions suffer with more extreme compressions. Metal Gear Rising is a single disc game on X360 but it marks at 18.5GB on PS3. Normally PS3 games come with high quality cutscenes while the PC/360 version would have sub-HD or highly compressed ones.

So it is. Must have missed that. Changing the OP.

Well, that explains that then.

WiiU version looks very comparable to the PS4 version if you ask me.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
