the only question is where will they take the franchise? 1st person, 3rd person or something completely different? i liked the other m. just imagine having like multiple planets and flying the ship in a massive open world concept!!

haha I'm not denying anything, I know they skipped N64 but that doesn't mean they always going to do it every third console.
I know... my English sucks.

No third person. FPA/2D or GTFO Nintendo.

Given that Nintendo's next console is likely to be backwards compatible, all that request would mean is others who are true fans not getting a game they bought a console in part in expection of.
Nope. Metroid only skipped the N64 because they didn't know how to transition the series into 3D without fucking everything up. This is clearly not an issue now.
@OP
Yeah.......sorry. Not proof by any means.
The only home console Metroid has skipped was N64, thus far. I think there'll be a Wii U Metroid. I just hope it isn't a pile of pigshit like Other M was. I'd rather have a TRUE 2D, hand drawn, HD Super Metroid sequel. That's me. I'd accept another Prime game, but I'm not craving one, I think the Trilogy was enough, and really want to see Retro do an original IP.
But I do think we'll see Metroid on Wii U.
