The signature issue is something the mod team has been dealing with for years. It's something that is just too difficult to monitor, and so we've seen them get larger and larger until folk's signatures on this site are three times as large as their actual posts.
Keep up the great work!

Any reason the threads are screwed up?
When I click on the new post deal, it takes me to the last post I read, rather than the newest post. Also the (3 new) on the main page now takes me to the wrong post as well.

That's a good thing. And I'm pretty sure it's a design. It actually bookmarks the last post you've seen and takes you directly to the post after it.
