Npd showed January xbox only outsold the ps3 by 5k units. The ps3 is dominating it worldwide on a weekly basis.

Indeed it is a fact that the 360 has shipped more than the PS3 in the quarter this concerns, but it deffinitely isn't a fact how much it is by.

That's not really the minimum, it's just what you think is the minimum. Besides, xbox has always sold much better (relatively) in the holidays than the rest of the year. Even if we say that the 360 is undertracked by a million here on VGC, that still means it's only ahead worldwide by ~400k, and with the PS3 nearly equaling the 360 in this last NPD (only 5k gap) and dominating it everywhere else (~7k per week only from japan) It'll deffinitely pass that sometime.
