I had a similar idea to this, but wasn't sure how to word it. You beat me to it ; )

I've owned almost all Ninten's hardware, and I have a PS2/3, but I never had a PS1 or any Xbox console. I hardly knew about the PS1 and I make jokes about it, calling it the 'policestation' (Sorry, really bad joke). I was still young and had my hands full with the N64. The PS1 passed by me with little issue.

When I was introduced to the Xbox, I tried the controller and I couldn't use it. It was too big and awkward for me to use. The button layout was weird and confusing to me (black and white buttons? What the hell..??) And I was never interested in their games. They seemed kinda boring in my opinion. Plus, I hate Halo due to my friend killing me off so many times when I was just learning the game. So Halo left a bad taste in my mouth.

So those are my stories. Won't get an Xbox 1, and PS4 is too expensive for me and hardly any of the games interest me. PS2 and 3 had games I liked, so I bought them later in their lives.

I have a tendency to sell consoles and then buy them back again a little later on , really need to break that habit.

Don't own a Wii U because I'm not into Nintendo's games much ( FE and Zelda are the exceptions) I might buy a Wii U this year.

PS4- sold my first one since I literally never played it, I'll be picking up a new one in time for Bloodborne though.

3DS- I've bought a black one and gave that to my sister then bought the Fire Emblem Awakening limited edition version and then sold it for like 300 bucks, as with the PS4 I'll be buying another one (hopefully another Fire Emblem LE version comes out )

PS Vita- bought two of them sold both of them, won't be buying another since there really is no reason for me to.

Edit: Ugh need to stop wasting money.

I don't have all 3 yet but I know for sure I'll be getting a Wii U first since their first party is more to my liking, probably eventually an Xb1 but that's subject to change if they keep letting exclusives going elsewhere, I can't say I'll be going for a PS4 for the enxt few years if at all since they don't have anything worthwhile to show for me and last gen I was told to get a second job to afford the PS3 I;d bought that died a year and a half later, since then I went with Xbox and never looked back, had my 360 until two years ago when I decided to build a PC.

Can't see myself ever owning a Vita due to the high cost, lack of exclusives and memory card system.

I'd probably go with the colour purple since it;s my favourite.

Subscription fees. I mean, there are the typical reasons too, but yeah, unbendingly subscription paywalls for online.

Reasons why I don't want Xbone:
1. It doesn't have the exclusives that I'm interested in.
2. Playstation Plus has more value than Xbox Live Gold.
3. Not enough money.

Reasons why I don't want Wii U:
1. S.S.D.D. when it comes to exclusives.
2. Nintendo's vision
3. Not enough money.

Reason's why I don't want 3DS:

1. Besides Pokemon there isn't anything that interests me (and hacked Pokemon games are better than official nowadays). :P
2. Nntendo's vision
3. Not enough money.

Reasons why I don't want PS Vita.
1. Not enough interesting exclusives.
2. Not enough support.
3. Not enough money.

Also Vita takes time and money that could have been invested on PS3/PS4 so it receives an extra NO-GO sticker from me.

Don't like clutter

Time, I don't even have the time to play all the WiiU has to offer, and that's said to be little.

PS4 - Waiting for a price drop. I already held out this long, I might aswell wait for a pricedrop.
X1 - imo kinda redundant with the PS4. Many of it's exclusive are also coming to the PC.

I don't own any of the 8th gen consoles yet, but I'm buying a Wii U and a PS4 eventually.

PS4: Not enough games that I want, next to none actually, and the price is still too high for me.

Wii U: Price is way too high and has barely budged since it released, price of software also very steep.
