So the Metroid Prime Trilogy is only $10 on the Wii U eshop for a limited time (I think the rest of this week).
Anybody own Metroid Prime 1&2 on the Gamecube and Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii that is also going to buy the Trilogy on Wii U?
From what I gather the differences are:
+ added motion contols for 1&2
+ 16:9 support
+ they fixed some bugs and glitches
+ some slight tweeks in bosses
+ you can unlock fusion suit
- the original menus are replaced by a central one
- no normal control option
For me the motion controls were good in Prime 3 but they sometimes screwed up with bosses when I had to jump around a lot. I think it was partly due to my TV being higher than my sitting position and sensor bar position. I think I'll still buy the Trilogy just to see how it looks on my HDTV as opposed to my old CRT TV.
Below is a video showing the load time differences between Wii disc and eShop version of the Trilogy:
I own 3 and didnt like it. I still got the trilogy last week for 10 bucks een though I might never play them. Same with SMG2, as setting up the wii stuff on the U sounds tiresome. Still, 10 bucks was well worth the satisfaction of owning those games, even though I might never play them.
Yes, that is kind of f%&$ed up, sorry.

Are these additional changes to the already modified Prime 1&2 present on the Trilogy disc?
@OT I answered 'no' in the poll, as I already own the GC games and the trilogy disc. But after watching the difference in load times, I am tempted to double dip. It's only AUD13 atm and it would also keep my Trilogy disc and box safe. I currently have a lot of housemates and having collectibles lying around (even if they're away and out of general sight) can be dangerous.
