KBG29 said: Sony really needs to revamp the Vita. The CPU and GPU are still great, but it needs at least 3GB of RAM, 64GB internal storage, a 1080p screen, and the battery life of the Xperia Z3 phones. If they were to put out a 4G Playstation Phone on AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, they would sell PSV current lifetime sales in less than 12 months in the US alone. There is a massive amount of room in the mobile market for a Playstation or Nintendo Gaming Phone, and all of the tech to do it is available for very little. The network speed has hit the point were mobile multiplayer gaming, remote play, and PS Now like services are possible. With a Playstation Vita phone, Sony would easily sell enough units, and have a big enough market share that everybody would want a piece of the pie. They need to act fast though, because this advantage they have over everyone else is not going to last for long. This is there last chance to get there own phones, on , there own OS, and capture a sustainable piece of the mobile market share. I really hope Kaz decides to go through with the plans to sell off Xperia or just merges the group with Playstation, as Playstation Mobile Gaming and Communications. |
I'm not so sure about a "gaming phone" right now. But I definitely think 64GB onboard would go a long way with the Vita. Especially if Sony actually bothered to advertise their lineup. I mean it's a generation ahead of the 3DS so even now, the launch titles Vita had are a massive upgrade.
