Do you ignore indie games?

Yes, because I'm rich an... 30 22.39%

I'm finding more and more that many people simply ignore indie games and choose to pretend they don't exist, or sometimes just relegate them to the category of "apps" moreso than games.

I know there's a TON of garbage out there, but at the same time, I'm not entirely sure that's so different when it comes to mainstream game releases as well.  Having said that, I choose not to ignore indie games because the Wii U's eShop and Steam opened my eyes to what can come of someone who's sole goal is to make a fun and creative game.

The scene is growing, fortunately, but I still see a lot of people ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist, and I'd kind of like to hear what people have to say on the matter.  And please, don't bother saying "graphics", because many indie games look absolutely fantastic!  Nano Assault Neo and Trine 2 are some good Wii U examples right there.

Thoughts?

No, I don't.

Indie games are my mainstay right now. So many great titles to choose from. Even if they have a few glitches or aren't exactly full games...you only pay between $5 and $20 for them. Between Nintendo's amazing first party efforts and these gems on the WiiU Eshop I don't even feel the game drought.

Indie games are getting more expensive while most try to find an interesting way to sell their game.

Think like Octodad, it is funny and many want to play an original game like it but when you bought it and finish it in 2 hours you may feel robbed/dissapointed.

I am having more fun with free to play games like Team fortress 2 (literally 100 of hours) than almost every indie game that I bought.

Also no demo's is killing indie games purchases for me....

I'll play the good ones, so I guess I don't ignore them.

I don't buy a PS4 for 400€ to play Mini games on it. <.<

Here is the thing, do I buy Indie games yes I do. Do I think they are as good as mainstream games, they can be, but the things is a large percentage are just dull and are really just worth 1 hour of your time. Triple AAA games are more enjoyable because they have the extra necessary to make it an amazing game (See Nintendo Titles).

No, but i am going to ignore 2D-games from now on. I just don't enjoy them as much anymore.

Nope. All non-retail titles except Virtual Console titles I give the same respect for and I do buy digital games.

Currently on Wii U I have 1 VC, 1 3rd Party , 1 1st party and 2 indie digital games.
3DS: 3 1st party , 3 VC , 3 indie and 1 F2P.

Some of my favorite games were indie games. With increased production values high-end indie games are filling my B game itch. People who pass on indie games are missing out.

Skull Girls, Audiosurf, Bastion, Transistor, Psychonauts, Divinity: Original Sin, Rogue Legacy, Don’t Starve, Road Not Taken

Some amazing looking upcoming indie games:
Aztez, Rime, Absu, Cuphed, No Mans Sky, Ori, Galak-Z: The Dimensional

Now on Nintendo consoles they seem to get ignored by me with the excemption of a few like Might Switch Force 2.
