After reading that the main series of Pokemon will not be coming to consoles anytime soon I got to thinking about what Spinoff I might like to see. As many of you may be aware there's a fairly well established history of lackluster Pokemon spin offs on Nintendo's consoles, but one I remember enjoying was Pokemon Snap.

It might not be worth it to them to make it given I doubt many people today had much experience with the game or have thought about it in some 15 years, but I recall thinking that it was a lot of fun... I think I spent almost a week trying to get the perfect 10,000 point Mew picture, and my friends and I would get them printed out on stickers at Toys R Us to compare at school.

Personal anecdotes aside, it does strike me as a game uniquely suited for the Wii U. Given that it was a rail shooter (except slow and with a camera haha) it seems the perfect game to utilize the gamepad for pictures much like what was done on certain levels of Captain Toad recently... You interact with the environment via normal controls and the TV, but switch over to the gamepad for snapping the picture.

Gamepad aside, the Wii U would allow for massive improvements in Graphics, level design and AI over its N64 counterpart; they really could make a beautiful, fun game if they chose to.

It was just a thought, anyway, as Pokemon Snap was just about the only Pokemon spinoff that I found fun and original, whereas most strike me as being half-assed shovel ware as often as not. Obviously it would be one of the great flukes of history if this game actually was made (I'm fully aware that there's about zero chance of it happening), but was just curious if any other Wii U owners would have any interest in it. :)

I loved the original one, so I would definitely buy a Wii U Pokemon Snap!

No.. Good thing nintendo doesnt listen to its fans at times... They would be out of business long ago if they did..

If it costs like

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Yes. This could be a very quick budget title, and it makes perfect sense for the Wii U. I think it'd be a $30-$40 game, in which case I'd give it a shot.

Only if it's less than 20, allows choosing which gen or gets to interact with, and heavy sharing options to YouTube Facebook and of course Mii verse.

Sure, especially if the gamepad is intergraded in gameplay.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It's certainly not a game that would bring new people to the Wii u (maybe pokemon fans if done right) but I think there's a decent chance it would sell well among existing owners.

Not really into Pokemon anymore

i probably would, though I'd prefer if it were a budget title, considering how short the original game was, even to 100% completion.
